Hello all. Im new here and I think I am going to stay.
I am career graphic designer and have two-screen monitor setup on my home pc. Is there anyway to make this work? Like have all the GUI stuff on my 2nd screen and have this beautiful game take up my 24 inch (main) LCD?

Ya I tried window mode but I cant seem to resize it. You guys know anything about that? Seems like a fixed window size.
It would be nice if u could create a black window area for all the GUI stuff and just leave the main monitor for the actual game.

I think Matrox's TriView thingy supports it. -- Proud member of the [23].

I think there's also an nVidia program that lets their cards do multiple monitors with Eve, but I don't remember the program's name. It may be nView.

I know that nVidia's cards (and maybe ATi's) can run 3D programs across both monitors.
Instructions for nVidia Cards:
1. Make sure you have the latest nVidia drivers here
2. Open up the advanced display settings for your graphics card. To do that, right click desktop > properties > settings > advanced. Go to the tab for your graphics card.
3. Select nView Display Settings from the menu that slides out to the left.
4. Under nView Display Mode, select "Horizontal Span".
5. Your screen resolution should have changed now. Actually, your two monitors are now running on one big virtual screen. If you go to adjust the desktop resolution, you will see your primary display is double wide, and your secondary is disabled. Becareful about changing settings here because it can reset the monitor layout.
6. Open EVE. Go to the Display options screen, and select your new widescreen resolution.
Enjoy!

Edited by: Favek on 14/02/2006 00:15:28 Nice Valeo, I will try that right when I get home. I got a 6800 GT so it should be cabable of handling that.
Thanks!

You can change your window size in windowed mode, but you have to do it from the in-game video settings by choosing which resolution you want the window to be. You cannot manually resize the window after the fact by clicking & dragging the corners. Not sure if that helps at all, and I've never worked with dual monitors, but I figured you could set your window res to be super wide-screen and just keep all your UI stuff off to one side. There weren't that many resolution options, however, so there may not be one that works for you anyway.

Ah thats why I couldnt change the windowed screen size...thanks, I get it now.
Ya the problem with two monitors is that the vary greatly in resolution. My main is 1920x1200 and my secondary 1280x1024 but maybe I can find a happy medium between them.
