is there a way to choose an agent that will get you a better chance at getting a faction ship?

You work for that faction, the higher level, the higher quality the agent the better because you will earn LP quicker. When you get a certain amount of LP there is a chance for a faction ship offer.

If you want a gila from an agent offer you will have to work for the Guristas.
much easier to get one for killing guristas, but that isn't an agent offer, that is a loot drop.

I heard the guide is bit out of date. Nowadays, they give faction bpc offer with several runs!  My friend got 8 run of CNR.
