To train a lvl 5 a rank1 skill, it need to 5 to 8 days (it depends about your learning skill). I just think they could be trained in case of Navigation (a 5% more in speed), Gunnery, Engineering, Elecrtonisc, even Shield Op... It's your choice, but to train my surgical strike at lvl 4 was a big journey, and somethjing like speed, capacitor, shield, and so on worth the time it buys...

I went a littile learning nuts with mine, 4/6 of them are level 5, with the other 2 being level 4 and 3, gonna work on that... Learning 5 Analytical Mind 5 Instant Recall 5 Spatial Awareness 5 Mining 5 Drones 5 Refining 5 Electronics 5 Mechanic 5 (no really) the learning skills are nice, though most people are right in that it's not time-efficent to go above level 4, but i'm nuts so The rest of these aren't too tough to figure out from an obsessed miners perspective , Mining 5, just in case for deep-core mining, plus the extra 5% is nice for commons mining, Refining 5, for efficency (which is at 4 btw), Drones 5, for interfacing, Electronics 5, so i can fit 5 mining lasers and a MWD on my Thorax without having to fill all my low slots with co-processors (btw D'oh on the patch going to nerf them, but it's about damn time anyway). and lastly Mechanic 5... well, supposedly that's one of the prerequisites for anchoring, plus the extra structure is cool too As for what's next, phew, good question... Science 5 mabey, or Iron Will, ah well, it depends on what the new patch screws up for us, ooh, and how cool cloaking is. Calvin De'Sannar
LitLBunnyFooFoo	Posted - 2003.09.10 17:34:00 - [42] Regarding learning lvl5 increase, I can tell u it was worth it. Now without giving to much away I'm a newb, yet I am learning this game quick. The fastest lesson u learn is if u run into any game problems, getting help from the people we pay to help solve our problems is, in a word... A WASTE OF FREAKEN TIME! Okay, so that was five words, but that is the highest lvl of learning u will ever need if u run into trouble with this game... Now back to the learning lvl5. It is worth it, plain and simple. If u stopped ur learning lvl at 3 or 4, kick urself in the tail and start lvl5 today. Let me give u an example. To train Cald lvl4 frig with lvl4 learning it was going to take 4days 17hours. After I reached lvl5 learning it dropped it down to 3days 10 hours. To me, thatÆs a huge decrease in time... To some it might not seem that big of a deal seeing how u could have increased several other skills to at least lvl2 and some to lvl3. Yet when u cross the lvl3 threshold and head towards lvl4 or 5 without increasing your learning level and spending several extra days training to reach those lvls. I will be learning several more lvl4 and lvl5, while your still there *****ing about how it takes 40+ days to get to lvl5. Increase ur learning lvl, its the best 8days u'll spend, cuz in the long run it will take weeks and months of wait time off the other skills u will need in the future. (BTW, about the tech support staff for ccp, even though their system sucks, and I mean bad... They will eventually get to, and they apologize... However, the best people to talk to if u ever run into any issue is other players. Not to mention check out all the player websites, they are full of helpful information.) LVL UP PUNK! (6) Electronics (5) Science (5) Empathy (5) The number in parenthesis after each skill is the number of people in this thread who stated they had trained or were training that skill to lvl 5.

No, no ... not the skill "Learning" ... the other learning skills like "Analytical Mind" and "Instant Recall" ... these have a much larger impact on learning time than the Learning skill, although they only work on skills which depend on the attribute they affect. At least, that is what I am betting the original poster was referring to. I hope. It wasn't very clear. I had a Memory attribute of 4, every point into Instant Recall naturally makes a huge difference in the time required to learn the few Memory-related skills I want ...
