Update: Half a ton of kit just cleared through UK customs and has been delivered to our hosting facility. Froggy and Major Gormur just flew out to London, to being installation tomorrow (1 day ahead of schedule actually).
Note: Froggy and Major Gormur will use next week to handle the initial setup of the 64 bit blades as Singularity (for even more testing). A squadron of experts will be joining them for the actual move, to take place after the 20th of February.
Looks like we are moving along. You know this nwill change the game we play. -------------------------- I have big balls of Plasma coming out of my guns. |

Could someone clear this up for me please, I read in the blog that the new bloodlines are scheduled for either side of the server upgrades. Does this mean that the server upgrade is being implemented in two parts and the patch will appear in the middle, or that they simply havent decided yet whether to put it in before the upgrade or after? Thanks.

They are still tweaking the new bloodlines. As far as I understood, the serverupgrade will take place in one 'swift' move after extensive testing. They are probably allready testing parts of it, and be shure to set your longterm skill training.
It ussualy takes more then 24 hours to get the job done, but they will likely do it all at once. ---------------------- Homo Sapiens non Urinat in ventum |

so the blood patch and the server upgrade are unrelated in terms of implementation? Sorry, the blog confused me a little.

they want to do Blood before or after the server move i believe, doing them at the same time would be suicidal as far as bugs go.

Correct, we will not deploy the patch and hardware upgrade on the same day. With the current state of testing and progress on the server upgrade, we are looking at upgrading the hardware next week and Bloodlines in the week following.
I know we were shooting for a January deployment of Bloodlines. However, certain issues prevented us from meeting that deadline, but we are using the extra time to QA the patch and balance the new Bloodline options. There are some excellent fixes in the patch to look forward to and we feel the extra QA effort is worth the wait.

RMR was small compared to exodus. It was esentually a content patch, though a big one. Exodous was more like an expanstion pack, perhaps evenbigger in terms of what it changed in the game.

Have to say that sounds a little optimistic to me. Best of luck though, I hope it does go smoothly enough for that to work out.
