Think you mean 5 damage controls, Ishtar doesn't have 7 lows.
Gotta try this setup sometime, sounds great.

It might seem counterintuitive but you could fit some ECM in a few of the mids. Fit a full armour tank in the lows and the ECM will augment that tank by making you have to take damage from a fewer number of targets.
Is this for pvp or npcing, missions etc?

an uber tanked ishtar with non-faction mods would be like this:
2x 1600mm rolled tangsten plates 1 RCU tech 2 1 apative nanoplating t2 1 explosive armor hardener t2
Unfortunately that leave no grid for anything else. But hey, you get your uber tank, that is nearly immune to heavy nos.
When you pvp, you don't want just an uber tank, you want to achieve a balance of tank and gank. For something like Ishtar, dedicating 3 med slots for EW is a good way to improve your tank

HI:
who cares
Med:
5 Cap recharge II (cap regen 40.99/s:))
Low :
2 Med Armor ReP II 1 Armor explosive hardner II 1 EANM II 1 1600 rolled tungsten
If you go shield tank
HI:
same
MED:
1 Large shield booster II 1 Photon Sacttering II 1 Invul field II 1 Large shield extender II 1 Med electrochemical cap booster
LOW:
5 PDU II
In the first setup u dont have any pg left to fit HI slot, In the second setup you dont have any cpu left to fit HI slot. But hey both of them have uber tank. So cheers.

The Ishtar is the Gallente HAC drone carrier, yes?
If these ubertanks lack the grid for anything else in high, there¦s still the drone control range Hi-slot modules (1pg and I think 30tf). Combined with the fact that sentry drones only fire on whats in your own drone control range, there should be something workable here I think.... Add in the midslot drone modules with the ubar-armortank and... Hmmm...
Just food for thought up here - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The mods keep removing my siggies so all I get is this stupid text. |

no cpu for shieldtank.... and since when there is a problem to fit ishtar? 2x med nos + whatever in high AB, scrambler, web, 2x hypnos multi jammer Med rep II, 1600mm plate, hardeners/cpr..
All about target jamming |

doesnt fit
iirc 1600mm plate + ab leave room for no mid guns or nos in high slot

3 T2 150mm, 2 Med T2 NOS T2 AB, 20k, webber, T2 tracking disruptor, T2 sensor booster (if with sentry drones, otherwise a T2 target painter) Med T2 repper, T2 energized adaptive, TS explosive hardener, CPR, 800mm T2 plate
5 drones of each type (sentry/heavy/med/light)
Not "super" tanked, but I've been using my Ishtar for over 2 months now and have yet to lose it. You can fit 2 Multispecs instead of the tracking disruptor and sensor booster, but I prefer having something that works 100% of the time without having to rely on "good luck". The repper, hardener, EW, and guns run forever (or for a very long time) once you activate the 2 NOS.

The Damage controls dont stack, so thats basically wasted 4 lows.
the ishtars annoyance is that it can ew and armour tank and nos. --------------------------------------------------------

megatanked Ishtar
4 x large shield extenders II 1 x EM shield hardener 5 x Shield relays II or just the best you can get
That should leave you with enough rom to fit a full nos setup in the his. Can't do much other then tank, but it does that REALLY well.

Edited by: Gee''Kin on 15/02/2006 14:15:12 yeah ishtar can tank insane almost uber. If ur all depended on ur drones. Even become a sucky vamp/tank.
I loved the ishtar till they added those WTF extra drones skills and nerf.
Glad i sold it.
btw all above are very nice fits -------------------------------------------->

I dunno how to tell you this...but drones haven't been nerfed. With good drone skills you even received a slight boost. The Ishtar is still one of the best HACs out there.
The only other HAC I'm "scared" off is the Sacriledge since they often NOS you back and are thus able to tank you for a long time.
