This Thread is NOT to showoff or to get flames going. Keep this in mind, thank you.
As of 4 days ago, i realised roleplaying wasn't really my thing. I decided to go anti-pirate....in the worst way.
Joined Contraband Inc. Got myself in with a bunch of lies, was pretty easy and after a day i had myself and my lovely Armageddon in the corp.
I have to say, the people i talked to are actually nice people. But them being pirates doesn't mean their also wearing eye-caps in real life.
Anyway, so my plan was to annoy them a bit in a funny way. I stabbed up my Geddon, Put 8 large smartbombs on (3 expl 2 em, 1 kin. and 2 therm.) , and gave the ship a suitable name: "I'm Smart"
The original idea was to bomb them during a frigate/stealth bomber op. Wich got delayed and turned out to be cancelled anyway. So i made up some stupid story and got 4 of them in 1 frig 2 shuttles and a Vagabond sitting on top of eachother with the idea of me "bumping" them while frapsing.
Got within 10 k....i was getting a bit nervous...6k....almost there...3.5 (they where all within 5 k at this point) F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 F6 F7 F8. And all i heard was pods and their cans + Corpse *****ing. Not to mention the "Dude dude!" on Ventrilo...other then that...it was silence.

I think it was pretty low. I couldn't ever screw over corp mates in any way especially after chatting with them on TS.

ROFL CLASSIC! Well most of Contraband are a$$holes anyway and deserve it haha. some are allright tho and i hope they didnt get done in :D. 1 question tho did the vaga go boom? :D

Kinda lame IMO.
That's scamming peeps you should be loyal to.
But since you planned this anyway, a real fight could have save a bit of your honour.
I know many carebears will laugh at this but it could happen to them too. Most pirates are just into PvP and want others to enjoy this too
Everyone should get the possibility to get into a fight, samrting their ships the way you did... hands down

This just proves to me how careful CEO's have to be these days adding people into corps. Especially when adding younger players. I hope youre actions wont affect many corp seekers during the future.

anyway if you where smart you tried to web and scramble the vaga first so you could get him killed also

One of the best pvp corps around...and they actually believed the story u put up? "All get in shuttles and sit on top of eachother...."
That shows how friendly they are...even to new corp members.

I am anti-pirate too but i would rather quit Eve then do what you just did. Unless they REALLY REALLY ****ed you off with something i can't find anything that justifies your actions.
Killing/podding pirates is fun when you do it the real way in a fight.

I find both these things very similar. Both very underhanded but both serve a purpose. And both abuse an illusion of safety.

Not sure I feel too good about this.
I always figured "anti-pirates" or "pirate hunters" sort've...y'know...hunted pirates. Not wormed their way into pirate corporations and betrayed 'em. Different strokes for different folks, I guess, but my own (admittedly biased) outlook is that pirate hunters should have stories of honor and/or sacrifice.
That said, infiltrating corporations is a well known and valid tactic in Eve, so I suppose good job. Just not the way I'd handle things at all...

why go through all the trouble of infiltrating their corporation and gaining their trust, only to pod a couple of people in cheap ships?
you might've done far more damage by acting like a spy, feeding information about them to anti-pirate friends, leading them into traps, helping others stay one step ahead, that sort of thing. it may not be as instantly fun, but imagine the feeling of leading them into a trap and being the only survivor.. or maybe you could take your ship to a safe location after the battle and eject so that you can return to base in a more convincing pod..

It's a valid tactic... not really something I'd take pleasure in doing, but then again, some people win game tournaments by abusing the cheapest of the cheap.
If you play to win, what's more dishonorable: 1 - winning via cheap tactics, or 2 - falling for cheap tactics?
While I wouldn't commend DarthJosh in the "honorable" department, he did well to succeed in his infiltration.
