Since i found out that Serpentis don't have a faction frigate like the rest but instead "borrowed" the daredevil from the angels (thus the Angels got the dramiel and daredevil in the game for players to fool around in)i been wondering what the history behind that is.
Also wouldn't it be great if Serpentis got one of their own so i finally could get my black Incursus (i assume it would have been Incursus since Caldari AF's and Guristas Worm are based on the Merlin and Gallente AF's are based on Incursus)
Or even better. All pirate faction ships should be available to loot and/or be available on the market (in the factions stations only of course) to those Corporations/Alliances (not single players)with superb standing towards the faction. Prices like 4 mil for frigate, 40 for cruiser and 400 for battleship would be good imo. Could be applied for faction ship equipment... if the standing allow it of course.

Serpentis pay for protection from Angels. They hire themfor hits as well, so it makes sense that you can get a variation of an Angel ship.

Edited by: Eshud Uktar on 15/02/2006 20:42:22 Thank you Lofty for telling me that they are not the same, i know, i own both. And no Marcus it doesn't make sense at all since the rest of the pirate factions have one frigate, one cruiser and one battleship each. And yes i know the story behind Serpentis/Angels cooperation.
What i asked for was if someone knew why Serpentis don't have (why the developers didn't make...) a frigate of their own (based on Gallente ships) since they obiously have the Vigilant and the Vindicator, although constructed by the Angels, both black and based on Gallente ship designs.
The rest of my post are just some ideas i would like to see for us who actually enjoy faction-based roleplaying. And not just for pirates, i should add.

First off I'd like to inject that the Daredevil is the Serpentis faction frigate. If you contest this, then you assign the daredevil to the Angels, which would then put them with two faction frigates. Which would in my opinion open a whole 'nother can of worms..
This can be avoided if they go ahead and release more Pirate faction ships to begin with. The primary factions have many variations, I'm quite sure the Pirate factions have the means to steal the best design types and make them their own. Also didn't the Angels obtain some Jove ship designs which helped with their ships? Why would they stop with a single line instead of variations on a theme...?

Unofficially, yes. Officially, it isn't. The Daredevil is a frigate release of the Guardian Angel division of the Angel Cartel. The Guardian Angel division is hired by Serpentis for low-security protection and piracy. Therefore because of the nature of the contract, the Guardian Angel division is a mesh of Gallente/Angel due to their natural location. Serpentis hired but angel technology.
