This is a hard one.. When do we count server is "up" again? when you can seriously think of doing a high level mission with pricey ships & mods, or when you can see the "entering space - lagging" -screen?
mm, my guess: 1M for 29h.

2 weeks to realise it doesnt work
36 hours to reinstall old tq server
2 weeks shouting at IBM
8 weeks ordering a server that will work, by which time people will have quit making only 10k in peak hours again

is the next raffle going tobe to guess how long the server stays up after the initial boot? :)

Come on guys... You *know* it'll be done on time...
... I bet it'll be up and running in 12 hours (time enough to do it twice).... whether they let us play on it then is another matter.....
To be honest, if you had a cluster that big delivered, would you leave it sitting there doing nothing? I wouldn't.... I'd get on with the best software development project going... and instal EVE. Ego.... my *100K bet* is that it'll be ready waaaay before the scheduled down time (24 might be just to get the network things to propogate?)

HeHe well I logged in at 2am exactaly 18 hours , i think Eleven must be dev alt but the server was up a bit bofore hand.
I think it was that ccp had this hardware ready wile in the past they had it all sitting in boxes still on some truck 12 hour into downtime.
I also think it was a bit silly running that test ip then hosting real TQ on same ip I made 1 mistake & relaised just before attacking for fun in safe space, almost very costly.
The front page has a time of 00.12 witch I assume was 16 hours but eleven still looks closest.
Post who pays or dont pay Eleven plaese for future abusing.

late posting but I've been away from the game a few days after a death in the family ....
WOW my 18 hour bid was an attempt not to win but to spur on the great guys at CCP, an show them there are optimists that play this game ,but hey .......

Until I see pics, I don't think they replaced the server at all.
It was just an excuse for them to have a day off and go out wearing pink wigs.
The server being faster is just because they cleaned the plugs.
