Im new, so Im not all that familiar with the market. I am looking to buy a Caldari Cruiser soon and was wondering if the prices I see in the market are prices set by players or are NPC built ships.
Are there Corps that sell ships that you don't see on the market?

As far as cruisers go, what you see on the market is generally all that's available in your region. You could check on escrow, but I really doubt anyone would bother selling bog-standard ships there.

Prices for ships are set by players. It sometimes helps to look around for a better price in other regions though.
Sometimes it's even cheaper to buy a blueprint copy for a cruiser, collect minerals and have someone make you one.
Escrow sometimes have deals on ships too if you catch them. I know I found a fully loaded Osprey once for 3 million ISK.

As said above, as they are fairly standard ships you won't find many producers or many pricedifferences really. Expect to pay 4.5-5 mil for a Caracal, 7 mil for a Moa and 3 mil for an Osprey.
Caracal is missileboat
Moa is railgun long range
Osprey is a good miner
don't bother with a blackbird

Thanks for the info all.
I am currently looking to buy a Caracal or a Moa and I wanted to get a feeling for whether I should shop 'outside' the market. Now Ill make sure to check the market as I fly from place to place.
