Don't know what to think of it anymore, will hang on to my shares for now, giving Countess the benefit of the doubt, but I have a bad feeling about it. Didn't lose much money in it, but that doesnt bother me. I really hope that the idea of a centralized website for trading shares will keep alive, because I believe there is a tremendous demand for a safe transaction of shares, in the same way as the regular market works.
As said in the other thread about EGSE by Aaroone, there probably will be some kind of broker function, so u can select your own personnal broker to complete the transaction with. This will also increase the trust in the whole venture and hopefully, will benefit everyone... \
As for Alanix leaving, I'm sorry I had to say all these things, but some facts made me believe something was wrong, and I was getting paranoid and afraid of losing my big investment... Sorry to see you go, because what I do know, is that u really put some hard work in EVE, whether it was 'for the good' or not.
Hope we can have a chat when things cool down for ya in RL (im almost a grad student myself), hoep we can clear some stuff out...

No hard feelings, Ferrosa. I understand what it's like to be afraid of losing your investment...after all, I bought 1.33b worth during the IPO! I guess everyone has different ways of responding to stress--I tend to defend the person who holds all my money in his hands, in hopes that he will continue to earn me a good return! Anyway, I don't have time to mess with all that anymore, so that's why I resigned.
Grad school is great, but do NOT try and take a ton of hours during your last quarter/semester. I have 14 books to read, seven 1 page papers, two 5 page papers, two 7 page papers, three 6 page papers, and a 15 page paper to write. Not only that, I have to study for comprehensive written and oral exams--all due by May 16. So I'm already stressed enough and decided that I didn't need anymore stress in game.
I noticed C. Oracle online several times in the last few days, so hopefully all is well. Take care, everyone!

Friendly warning guys.
There is a fake "Countess Oracle" on the loose. the only difference is a zero instead of an o in oracle, so be very wary. It is late here so I wasnt really concentrating.
No real drama, but I lost 100m to it. My own fault, but just trying to protect you guys from the same fate. I didnt think to do it, but best way to double check is of course to see that the person is in a noob corp, and 1 day old.

I too am wondering when this is going to happen, I've had my shares at least two weeks now and noticed nothing going into my wallet besides what I put there myself.

First off...Im suprised accusations and speculation didn't fly sooner..heat comes with an IPO..and overall he/she received a tonne of support....its been 2 weeks since any word/dividends.
She/he was very sick - lets hope they are okay...but sounds as though they are since they posted after bieng sick and did seem pretty energized.
Some facts for thought:
1. She could handle flames/flaming just fine as this thread shows
2. They were new to the game...so long term playability for them was still not proven
3. They were new/figuring out the market system...and frankly the amount of work was not bing rewarded through this new corp..for the person with the idea
4. Oblivion and DDO just came out....
5. A LARGE number of shares (billions) were sold on the Sell Orders forum during the time they were gone..through an unknown alt with a temperment similar to CO as shown in the post here initially....speculate as you will..
It is one of two things imo....
1. This person was new to the game, and was initially excited about the corp concept...but with the many errors made during the setup process...that did not favor them...combined with the game turning into a buy/sell order grindfest for profit making for the corp....they bailed on the game...to play something else...
2. A well intentioned beginning turned into a quick, profit taking exit, due to many of the things listed above. Personally I believe this to be the most likely option.
I got out of my shares 2 weeks ago...and as a new player it would have hurt bad...so while I ahve no interest any more in the corp...I learned something I wish had been pointed out by some vets initially....that is...never buy into a corp that is being setup/planned by people totally new to the game..makes a lot of sense hindisght ..no matter how obvious it should have been.

Rumour has it that the countess has been in-game at various intervals, but not in the GPSx channel. I dont believe anyone has actually spoken to him (or if they have, they havent mentioned it), in regards to the payouts etc. Countess, if you read this. Tell us if you are trying to catch up, or if you have given up.
This way we dont need to keep whoring this thread not having any clue as to the status of the business. If you have indeed bailed out, or played an elaborate scam, dont be a coward and reveal the information. At least this way I can write off my losses, rather than bouncing around trying to find tidbits of information as to what is happening.
This is not how the business should be run. You need to send an Announce out to all shareholders, or at least post an official message here explaining what is happening. No-one needs to know your life story. Just a : Yes I am working hard to get things back on track, or a : Haha noobs you have all been scammed, or a : I cant be arsed doing all that work anymore and getting paid peanuts for it.
It would be like a family member going missing, and having to spend the rest of your lives wondering if they might still be alive, never knowing when to let go. Same situation applies here, however not quite as dramatic.
Countess, we have supported you throughout this endeavour. If things got too much, grow a pair and admit that it all went bust. Ignoring those who helped you to become what you are today, isn't much worse than just admitting this was a scam.

If you have gone bust. Big Deal. At least we know, and become wiser in the future. Most Businessmen I have met have went bust several times before striking it right.
Again, we are not asking for our money back, nor do we want you to work to your bone repaying us all. Just Communication as to the status of what is actually going on?

Correction: we want you to liquidate all corporate assets and then pay out the entire corp wallet as dividends. It'll take a few hours to get everything sold, I imagine, and then you can pay out a final dividend of all corporate capital (should be 2-2.5b still, right?) and then we can all said "fair enough."
That having been said, I doubt he even bothers to read the message boards anymore. If I had to guess, I'd say he just go burnt out. If so, that's fine, but he should log in, liquidate the corp, and return its equity to the shareholders. That's the right thing to do.

Hey,
I have a small question which has probably been answered like 5 pages ago, but didn't want to hunt for it.
I bought 3000 shares off of a person and have yet to recieve any divident payments ( according to my journal records etc. ) and was curious as to when dividends are paid out or if dividends aren't paid out and we're supposed to make money buy selling shares?

Since we all agree that it is dead shares, does the total of all shares add up to over 51%? If so, we can combine all our shares and install a new CEO to liqudate assets

Unfotunately Countess never installed any of the directors as actual functioning directors of the corp (at least to my knowledge). So there is no way to start a vote =(

Are we sure these are dead shares? The buisness failing and going under this early would be dead shares (which would be really wierd considering how it looked like everything was growing very well.) The CEO and alts disappearing a week after the big split and sales screams scam more than buisness failure.

More likely burnout than scam. Would be a pretty stupid scammer to pay out 700,000,000 isk in dividends and running off with 1.8b rather than issuing no dividends and running with the full 2.5b.
Here's how it went:
First payout: 75m
***All shares sold out after the first payout***
Second payout: 500m
Third payout: 100m
Now any scammer with any sense at all would have left before the second payout, rather than paying out 600m in dividends and THEN running off with the balance. Of course, I readily concede that there are plenty of stupid criminals in RL and, no doubt, in game too.
