Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes...
So I learned how to hunt npc convoys pretty good. My standings for the npc corp convoys I'm killing are dropping pretty fast.
I am killing Hyasoda Corp and Spacelane Patrol corp convoys. I had positive standings (above +1.0) before this spree, but now each corp has me negative. I noticed that refining and manufacturing cost more at those respective stations now.
I am concerned about standings with CONCORD, Caldari State and Caldari Navy, but so far they have not changed. Only spacelane and Hyasoda.
I am Gallente basically living in Caldari space and dont want my Gallente missions, standings, and corps to be affected. How will these standings affect future missions that may become available?
Since I am gallente should I basically not care about Caldari? I have previously ran missions against the Caldari to lower my standings (is this the way the story unfolds)?
Is it my Gallente destiny to have low Caldari standings anyway?
Will this affect sentry guns firing at me and docking rights revoked?
I would like to continue to npc convoy hunt but not at the risk of gimping myself in the future.
Guide me, oh wise masters of eve, and tell me what the deal is. If I am being stupid please say so.

I think you are mixing up 2 concepts to an extent - security rating and faction/corp standing. There's plenty of stuff here to read to make a little more sense of it all.

When NPC Convoy hunting, Concord standings remain untouched, while faction standings for that particular faction whose convoys you are killing will drop. You'll need to cease operations against that faction if you wish to use their stations. Or use another faction's services, which I recommend. I also think it may be possible to have faction standings so low that you cannot dock at a station owned by that faction, but am not 100% sure.

Thanks for the information. It answered some questions but there are still a few questions unanswered.
I have spent alot of time already reading these forums trying to find answers but I cant seem to locate a search function. Notwithstanding, here is a bump for a Friday evening audience.

How exactly do you convoy hunt? I see convoys all the time but only in secure space, and usually only by stations? I haven't tried taking a shot at one yet, but was assuming Concord and the station would lay into me. Thanks for your answers!
