Seems to be alot of discussion on what beer and types of beer liked by all attending The Gathering in Las vegas in March
Seems Oveur has a likeing to single malts..
kieron told me he likes ALL beer...
Some fans have actually asked what we will have for beer....as in types available.
so I am asking all FANS and ANYONE to defend your BEER!
Also we have the ability to have distributors bring in what beer we choose during this event....
maybe you could sway what BEER we have on tap or in bottles...
by the way BEER IN CANS is NOT allowed (thats my personnel own rule)

I unfourtunately can't attend, but can I defend some beers anyway??
Try for some Chimay (white is good, blue is better). You gotta get the nifty Chimay glasses though - its not the same without.

Always been partial to Steiner Bock, but another really good one is Spaten Optimator.
Best beer ever is a local beer from Austria, in a town called Sankt P÷lten. Can't remember the name though, and can't find it right now. Oh well. :) -- Lil Miner |

I'm not coming, but Danish and German beer is what you should go for. Though, considering this is in the US, I'd say go with anything as long as it's not US beer.

Sam Adams. In a bottle, of course. Beer in a can is just.... wrong. Unless its a really, really big can that you put a tap on.

For US beers, anything from New Belgium (Fort Collins, Colorado) is awesome. I particularly enjoy 'Sunshine', although by far their most popular brew is 'Fat Tire'. I also highly recommend Pyramid (All across the western US) brews, in particular their hefewiezen.
For Canadian beers, I highly recommend anything from Unibroue, with my favorites being 'La Fin Du Monde' and 'Maudite'.
Anyone who bases the quality of US beer on Budweiser, Miller, and Coors has a lot to learn about the state of brew in North America. I've consumed beer on a fair portion of this planet we call home and have sampled brews imported directly from most of the places where I have not yet personally set foot, and I have yet to taste the vastly superior beer that so many people claim exists everywhere except the States. To those of you who want to experience beer at its best, a simple visit to any Seattle brewpub should do the trick. The vibrance of the local microbrew community and the dedication to the art and science of making beer has, in my opinion, no greater home. To the naysayers among you, continue to live in ignorance. It is, as they say, 'bliss'.

IÆll second what Eschwen is saying. IÆve traveled a bit around the world and the beer up here in the Pacific NW can hang with any of them. Even the mighty Germans. One year in college I had a roommate from Austria, even he was quite impressed.
Not really sure how wide the distribution is. If you can get Pyramid in LV, then that would be a pretty good choice. Their Hefe is popular. Though IÆm fond of their Snow Cap winter brew. Just stay away from the Big Three.

Sadly, I haven't the money or time to fly out.
However, I declare you a heathen, for the one true beer, Guinness, is perfectly cromulent from the can. Thanks to advanced beer can technology(tm), the froth flows smoothly.
Of course, it's not as good as the real thing, straight from the tap.
(Edit: Note: You shouldn't be able to see through your beer. That isn't beer, it's urine. )

Since we're discussing beer anyway. If you ever find a beer called Pripps Blue, run away! It doesn't even qualify as beer.

I must say that if you're going to do a US beer, then please do Sam Adams, it's pretty close to Europe-quality beers :)
Ofcourse, there's only one beer, Grolsch :) ------------------------------------------ A lapdance is always better when the exotic dancer is crying.. |

What they are all trying to say is f*ck the big market beers and go with smaller breweries. May cost a little more, but the fans that attend will greatly appreciate it. Kristallwei¯bier: if the hefeweissbier is filtered, the beer will look more "clear", from which the name "kristall".
My personal German choice.
Or, I'm sure it is easier to get, Stella.
My English favorite.
