Hey guys - as title. I am new to drone space and ratting in general so wanted to see if i am doing something wrong.
ATM I am running drone hordes in a carrier (L4) with 4 DCUs and I use garde sentry drones (L5). More DCU's and carrier 5 is on the way. -This is noticably quicker than running fighters despite the difference in DPS - I suppose travel time is the critical factor.
^ This is supported by a CNR raven that I swap out for a noctis when the horde is nearly finished so that I finish scooping wrecks at about the same time as the carrier finishes the horde. - Remember that in drone hordes you have to scoop all the loot as there is not bounty on a drone.
Running this setup I can do 2 hordes per hour - no more, no less. After keeping a detailed spreadsheet on drop and average prices, I can get about 25mil per horde, so 50mil per hour (thats selling at 10% below jita)
Now being former MM, I know that the guys there could get like 50-100mil p/h using just a carrier. - Am I doing somthing wrong or is there like a 33-40% difference in the yield of a sanctum vs horde in terms of ISK p/h? Remember the point of this is to establish the most efficient ISK p/h not ISK per site.

With this fit like an mega overpowered Ishtar you will tear through anoms like a Boss, if anyone is stupid enough to tackle you short of a super carrier you are owning it quick style ,advice above about the HIGHEST BOUNTIES FIRST is parmount.
People recomending cheap mods are stupid to be frank , more HP more resist means more bonuses and better tank which in turn helps PVP suvivabiliaty ans I/P/H.

No really, 25 mil per site - ill give u an example list of alloys from a site that I calculated at about 25.5 mil (about average):

Don't you salvage the drones? Shouldn't really take much longer than just looting with the noctis. As far as I know salvage is still a big part of the income from drones. |

Ha, well after checking current jita prices it seems the problem was NOT the hordes or me, but rather the selling price that I had been using which was closer to 40-50% less that jita -humpf

if your using fighters, dont just clock all the bs from the overview, look in space and find the ones closest to gether to reduce the travel time of the fighters. also, templars >>>>>> any other fighter. i made the switch on my alt last week and saw a HUGE difference in damage output. |
