I have recently joined the "always look on the bright side of life" club a thought to share. It may suck, but at least it happens only once!
How about petition CCP with a list of skills you wish added to the queue along with the explanation? Is it Hotdrop O'Clock yet?

4 days of skilling is nothing, trust me. I-¦ll take the nurses, and so should you. Unfortunatly my appendix was removed years ago.

You could of course just remote access your pc from a ****** laptop using something like teamviewer, then login and whack some skills on.
Or man up, get out of your bed, get home, and rest there whilst playing eve. |

When I had mine out I was in the hospital for a week (although mine exploded shortly after malfunctioning). Took me 2 weeks at least to rep back into armour.
Anyways good luck in recovery Cagali!
P.S It's a shame that they don't have any nanite repair paste. P.P.S If the nurses are that good don't be afraid to cop a feel every now and then to let them know that you appreciate very much what they're doing for you. |

If I were in the process of recovering from surgery, the last thing I'd be thinking about would be an inactive skill queue in a video game.
I think that the physical stuff might not be your main problem. That's relatively easy to fix. It's the mental stuff you need to work on. There are 86,400 seconds in a day. You just saved one of them by typing 'u' instead of 'you'.-á Congratulations, dumbass! |

Damn, hope you find yourself feeling better soon. And don't listen to the idiots telling you to man up, they're too stupid to consider what surgery entails (I said entails, not entrails) and have probably never felt any considerable pain in their blip of a life. |

You'd be amazed, my man. I've had patients come out of worse than an appi, and be worried over any number of what we would consider silly things. Comes from a combination of the pain meds, worry, dislike of hospitals, all kinds of different stressors.
Our normal hospital policy is to indulge those whims as best we can. Anything to help someone feel more comfortable during a stressful stay. Chocolate icecream, we got ya. Worried about your pet fish? I got a lackey who'll check if you want.
OP, if you were a patient in my hospital, I'd totally bring my game laptop in, and let you login and run your skills. Sadly, no EVE though. I'm not gonna deal with a pt. having blood pressure spikes coz he just wandered into a bubblecamp with a blingfit BS. The risk of having your day ruined by other people is the cornerstone with which EVE was built and we want to keep that (infact, this is much more representative of the consensus opinion within CCP). |

And that right there makes this community so wonderful, wishing you a speedy recovery, also, I had two screws put in my left ankle, I was worrying what my (at the time raiding guild) was going to think about my 3 day absence from the game and was truthfully worried they would kick me for getting hurt while at work. |

Nobody actually knows/cares who is at the keyboard. I'm pretty sure it's to stop a character from being able to be logged in constantly. For example player 1 plays in EU timezone, when they go to bed, there west coast American friend logs in and plays through the EU night.
You can easily see how that might be seen as a huge advantage. |

Why am I imagining you talking a drugged and woozy OP into using their blingfit battleship to suicide gank a miner while lying in a hospital bed with needles in each arm? https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. "Hey man, you gotta gank the miner, Doctors orders."
Nah, I'd never do that, that's mean. I might show them how relaxing a good gank is, though....really soothes the soul. account sharing means that an alliance super is never really logged off, its always available. As are every other specialist like perfect FC characters, rorquals and the like.
ie like anything else, its subject to Malcanis's Law.
Also I find "little" account sharers, brothers and the like to be an absolute pain in the ass to deal with as the character is for all intentional purposes schizophrenic.
Its also prone to causing *drama* for GMs when it goes sour as it often does, and passwords get published etc, and its a hallmark of RMT farming. |

Plus, if account sharing were legal, it gives scumbags a semi legitimate "out" when caught botting or doing RMT.
In general, it's just a horrible idea to account share. Not posting on my main, and loving it.-á Because free speech.-á |

Here I am in hospital, minus one appendix, surrounded by beautiful nurses.
The problem is that all I can think about are my nine inactive skill queues.
Does having someone log in for me breach the eula? I've been here for three days, unsure how many left, and all my characters are young enough that 4 days HURTS.
C'mon, CCP, you're my only hope. Let me flirt with these nurses without panicking about skills.
CCP has access to you webcam and they KNOW your face !
So if someone from your family or a frind log in the will know and perma ban you !
Officially - yes it is against EULA and they have to take that stand.
But if you stop and think for a second, perhaps in your case a bit longer, asking someone you know and trust to login and change train que is a none issue.
BECAUSE NO ONE KNOWS WHO LOGGED IN !

Gotta love 3 month old players telling people about historical game design.
Its not a 'hold over', the 24 hour queue was specifically designed to help people who had the dreaded 3am wakeup alarm to add another skill or when your current skill training ended while you were at work/school.
Anyhoo, OP, get better soon, and really, if you are invested in Eve to the extent that you have 9 training characters.... they you obviously intend to be playing the game for a long time. Missing a week of skilling really isnt going to affect you much. Don't worry about it.
