Haven't tried the new ships/structures yet. However, here's a list of minor things I don't like (and gosh I hope you had your bit of irony cereal for breakfast):
- ISIS screen feels weird since all scales are different. Catalyst looks three times beefier than Algos. Side projection combined with small size of ship pictures seems messy.
- Login screen is too bloody bright. I'd prefer neat and modest older version. And where're my news, man? I am no grandpa
- Female corpses are ruined. Shoulda called this expansion Noboobicon instead. Apparently feminazi agenda forced CCP to stop sexualizing the dead. Could see this coming though.
- RIP ol' good blue Info icon and warm&fuzzy book icons. All hail 50 shades of grey! |

well, so far so good
first impressions:
isis needs a higher factor of zoom-out and the ability to pan off screen (but never all the way off) to better work with extended desktops and multiple displays
odd gfx thing when warping I have my destination selected and active on the hud and see its tag, but another slightly offset tag for the same object (in this case a station) blinks on and off during travel. it didn't seem to have anything to do with my mouse position or camera angle, just on and off at a regular interval
game didn't crash and patched with no issues

You're acting as though they added nothing? And yes, making sure their incremental changes work is actually very important. CCP has made mistakes in the past where they attempted to add half-functional features and their only response would be to add even more half-hearted additions. The point is that now they're going about it more carefully. |

Necrophilia was nerfed? OMG!
This cannot be allowed to stand!
I find that without a good mob to provide one for them, most people would have no mentality at all. |

I think they're strategy now is more incremental and careful. I know you can't make the comparison but their approach now is better.
Lol, you seem confused. Their strategy is to do as little as possible, make promises that never come though and persuade people like you that they are actually doing a good job.....

CCP, trading shiny pictures for playability since 2003.. EvE, a cutting edge game. The only game to provide Matrix style gameplay for the masses! (trouble is, most people don't have 9 hours to waste on a one hour fight.) |

You haven't really paid attention then. The tiercide initiative alone has added more content than any patch in the game's history. Those GÇ£4 large patchesGÇ¥ have more than doubled (probably close to tripled) the number of actually useful ships in the game.
Compare this to GÇ£big-wowGÇ¥ expansion that, for all their apparently massive additions, were inherently broken (Apocrypha), didn't really add anything (Empyrean Age), or drove people away in droves (Incursions, Incarna).
Providing working and useful tools might not look amazing in the patch notes, but adds a whole lot more to the game than classic consumable content. GÇ£If you're not willing to fight for what you have in GëívGëí you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.GÇ¥

When most MMO players of the current crop hear the word: expansion, they think of an island filled with pandas added to the game world. Beginning with Crucible and on through this last one, the ships that we fly have totally changed, fleet concepts, weapons and tactics, everything.
So yeah, my game world has expanded. |
