Do Stasis Webifiers have any effect on preventing warping? I know that there are warp jammers that work by disrupting the warp drive computer. However, as far as I know, there are (at least) two criteria that must be met prior to warping:
1) Your ship must be pointed in the correct direction. 2) Your ship must be traveling at a minimum speed.
ShouldnÆt it possible for something like the 'Langour' Drive Disruptor to entangle a ship and prevent it from achieving the minimum speed required for warp?

Unfourtunately the speed requirement is a percentage of your maximum speed after the webifier is taken into account. It can actually make you get into warp faster =D. ---- I like pie.

Wow, that sucks. Webifiers should reduce the chance of getting into warp. Not make it easier.

Then people wouldn't really bother with warp scramblers.
Anyway, webbing someone can make them take more or less time to get to warp depending on their orientation. If they've already got speed in the direction they are trying to warp in, then webbing will make them get to warp faster. If they're moving in a different direction then they first have to decelerate to around their new max speed whilst webbed, before they are able to start aligning to the new direction to warp, which can take a long time depending on how fast they were moving in the first place and what their post-webbing top speed is.
e.g. I've killed quite a few ships that have had more stabs than I've had tackling by microwarpdriving in to them with a megathron to knock them off alignment, and then webbing them.

I think warp scramblers would still have a very valid place: longer range and they attack differently (i.e. by knocking out the warp drive, not snaring the opponent in a web).
If Webifiers did make it harder to get to warp by slowing the ship down, the victim would still have a chance of reaching the required speed for warp if they hit their MWD or afterburners.

Allowing webbers to do the job of warp scramblers would be the wet dream of every mid-slot deficient ship out there :D Good thing it ain't gonna happen.

Don't mean to hijack, but what is the "Anti-Web" skill? To protect against getting webbed?

That would mean two webs would be enough to tackle any ship setup, therby rendering warp core stabilisers completely useless. In most cases one 90% web would do the job, unless they happened to have very good acceleration control, a high end MWD and a light ship. Afterburner wouldn't be of any use at all, only giving about a boost of about 170% with high skills and a light ship, when you'd need a boost of 700% or so to get into warp.
The system works well enough as it is right now (with the possible exception of stabs not having enough penalties to fit); scramblers to stop people warping off, webs to control range and prevent people making it to docking/jumping distance.

You mean: "make them identical to 20KM warp scramblers"? :D :D
