There should be more gratitude towards our effort of freeing honest, hard working PI producers from the corrupt, inefficient and quite frankly dictatorial Interbus. Where did your hard isk go when you paid tax to Interbus? Nowhere! Vanished into a deep hole never to return.
You didn't have a choice. Now you do. And now your hard earned isk will instead be used to create new content, stimulating the economy and making EVE a better game. |

There is this huge elephant standing in the middle of the room, but everybody is so busy with whining over taxes or falling for the usual, tedious Grrr Goons rhetorics that our pachydermic friend gets completely neglected. So RvB and GSF have just announced that they are allied- not just for a singular event like "Burn Jita", but for the foreseeable future My mind just got blown into a million little pieces.... For people who can actually be rational about such things, this shouldn't be considered an alliance so much as a neutrality agreement. Both sides have come to the conclusion that's there's no reasonable way to prevent the other from destroying their stuff if they really want to, and that such an attempt would cost both sides tons of isk. Instead, by supporting each other's POCO attempts, we can both make isk, and **** off everyone else at the same time - two things both Goons and RvB really, really like.
God damn it Mathias cut it out! How am I supposed to sell red and blue mittens with you talking sense like that! |

There is a subset of the playerbase who are more or less incapable of discerning "Other people who are playing a game in a manner that conflicts with the way I am playing" from "Great Satan". Since Goons = Great Satan, anything they do is bad, and oppresses non-Goons. Quote:(Now, people setting stupid high taxes, that's a valid complaint, of course.) Define "valid complaint". Who would address this complaint, and how?
If people are *that* anti-Goon, why don't they use RvB POCOs then - or some other POCOs? Sheesh
RvB and Goons just came to an agreement about high-sec POCOs - we aren't sharing income or something like that. If you use our POCOs, all your taxes will go to RvB (and a bit to the NPC corp too, sorry guys we can't get rid of that entirely yet!).

I predict a very ugly divorce. Goons have that whole, "Scorched Earth" thing going.
Given the burning remnants of TEST being an example of how that goes, I predict fairly warm relations between the two. And heck, TEST only went that way because Montolio went insane in real life. So suddenly rvb decides they want to kill us?
I should become a tinfoil merchant instead, I would make a killing!
Seriously folks, the reason this works is because Goons and RvB don't want the same thing. RvB wants to have fun blowing each other up. Goons want complete world domination or something along those lines. The goons aren't going to stop us from blowing each other up, we aren't going to stop their world domination (that's N3's job right?) so working together makes sense.
If you are that concerned about goons, I recommend joining N3 or some other such entity and join their struggle vs goons. Or heck, stop worrying about it and go about your business. Or even better, stop worrying period and join RvB! Pew pew pew! |

That just made my day :D
again people, if you don't like goons, use other pocos. There are tens of thousands in the game! If you want to be a poco overlord but feel RvB and goons are too strong.... Go ahead and try around Amar or Rens or something. We won't stop you. |

Is RvB speaking for their masters now?
You literally have a dozen options, some of which I mentioned in previous posts. I never said to stfu. I'm a bit astounded at the rage here. I guess it is worth repeating that isk gained by RvB will *not* be going to the goons, but rather fund fun RvB activities like cruiser brawls and massive frigate free for all. Anyone can join RvB. |

This is just getting idiotic. Mynna isn't some random goon, but a very influential member of the CFC *and* on the csm. This isn't an endorsement the goons, merely recognizing that not every eve player has the same amount of importance in game, that is just a basic fact.Yes, it's not "fair" but this is EVE.
I'm not very important, but I'm more so than six months ago. If you seek influence and power in game, you can get it. Denying reality won't get you there though. |

Mhax Arthie wrote:I really don't see the point why some people are so mad. I was expecting 30, 50 or even 100% tax rates around the trade hubs, but instead there is 15 or max 20% that can be lowered with 5% if you have the skills. So a 10% tax rate vs 17% that was before it's a blessing, people should be happy.
Also, I can't understand why people are mad at RvB. These guys are one of the best alliance in the game, it's always a joy to see them fighting in Poinen and creating fun events and content. Taking over these CO's helps them to fund their content creation which is not cheap at all. So give them a break and enjoy the new tax rates which are really decent.
Wow, I go through to *one* person. Clearly I'm a great communicator! Thank you Mhax for reminding me that no, I'm am *not* exclusively arguing with a bunch of Rob Ford clones!
BUT for the rest of you Rob Ford paranoians out there, a few "facts":
1: BL is entirely composed of ex RvB members who were kicked out for being too good at PvP. So they aren't friends! 2: Mangala got elected to the CSM for the sole purpose of forcing CCP to enact the two following ideas: -A: Once the new new order is in place, RvB members will run Concord - but we'll only intervene for people we like. -B: We will be able to tax your mining *lasers* - yes that's right, every time your strip miner cycles, you will pay a fee to RvB! 3: Speaking of fees, the POCOs are making us more money than we know what to do with it. Our next big event will be a Titan Brawl in Jita. Now you say "but Titans can't go in Jita!!!" - but remember, we have a CSM member, anything is possible! 4: The goons, being much wiser than us, have instead RMT that money to the sum of several millions of dollars daily. Mittens hasn't posted in this thread again due to sheer exhaustion from testing his new harem. They have also hired the finest ex-KGP members to put dog poop on Dinsdale's lawn. |

You know, funny is that our best BNI pilots were recruited by the goons. And it hurts! Not because we lost a dread pilot or whatever, fuk it.. but because we lost some very good friends. I'm oldschool and I believe in friendship.. if someone help me out when I'm down, I will never forget his name. It's more likely the bond you develop in army. Anyway, salute RvB 7o
And RvB salutes BNI!
I have a suggestion for you guys - you should get into this POCO business too. I propose those around Amar, or maybe all the lowsec one near Jita?

You know, I kinda respect that. Its like they are rational beings trying to make a bit of money without driving the customers away. Weird eh?
I have told Mathias and now I am telling you: stop making sense! I'm selling red and blue mittens here.

My faith in humanity demands that I believe that this post was sarcastic.
For those who agreed with the above post, I remind you that RvB has more POCOs than the goons and has the first high sec ibco kill in the game! Therefore, by the same "logic", RvB doesn't just have CCP links, RvB is CCP! |
