I just downloaded a new eve client. But I can't enter game with launcher. I clicked 'play' button, and it showed 'launching' , then go back to 'play' button. And nothing happened. I opened Task manager to see what happened . What I saw is when I click 'play', evefiles shows for 1sec and disappears. Does anyone experience this situation? Got any solutions? Launcher doesn't work!! And I can't find eve old launcher or something like that in launcher file. I'm under windows 8 with imac |

Same here. Even the .exe file in the bin folder is not working. Any solutions at the moment ? I don-Št want to reinstall the game, so there has to be something.

There should be an executable named LogServer.exe in your EVE Folder. Try starting up the client with that running and if your client is erroring out during login that error should show up there.
With that you can create a bug report, which we'll use to fix the issue for you and anyone else encountering it.

So I'm a DB guy and know little of these things, but this is an error with importing trinity, the graphics module of EVE.
I've heard that if you update without the launcher you wont update your directX. I'm not sure how that affects any Steam updates but I did run into a few BRs from Steam users as well so that might not be getting handled properly.
Anyways, could you try manually updating your DX and see if that helps you, and if it did report it here?  @CCP_PrismX EVE Database Developer and Expert Ranter Member of a Different Team, every day. |

I have no clue why people are diconneting, I haven't disconnected a single time and haven't had any issues so far, as a matter of fact the game is running faster and smoother. EVE EVE STARGALACTIC CITY B I T C H |

DirectX11 is installed and there is the latest update included. But I take a look, what I can do with it, to change something. |

Well the patch was cancelled so I found the Dev who fixed the issue and asked for a manual workaround.
Run ..\EVE\Bin\DirectXRedist.exe manually, and it should fix your problems. @CCP_PrismX EVE Database Developer and Expert Ranter Member of a Different Team, every day. |

i went to a blank screen instead of character select. running the repair tool fixed it for me. Have you tried that yet? |

I hit play on the launcher and nothing happens. Hit the config/repair icon in the upper left and it crashes.
Tried a new install of Eve, updated directx/drivers. Added dx9 to command line.
Still nothing.
Can't even launch eve.exe (without the launcher).
