Exactly whats it gonna take to get the dam travel system working for more then a few hours without key sectors becoming black holes?
I for one have about had enough of waiting, often hours to days, depending on level of supposed support.
I understand eve is complex, but every few hours systems go down, rendering 1-100 folks stuck, and at the mercy of an already inadequate customer support structure. But be happy well get another spiffy gui, some more half functioning features, and most likely the same old bugs.
If this sounds like a rant....it is.

I don't think world hunger comes under CCP's list of responsibilities.
Eve on the other hand....

Show me a game like that and I'll show you a M00 member with some form of manners.

Yap yap yap.
Same old crap has been spewed about every online game that has ever come out.
Yap yap yap. Same old crap.
If you don't like it, play board games - they don't crash on you unless your table falls apart or someone kicks the board.

We've had systems crash half an hour after downtime back in the days when people were told to wait for the next downtime before petitioning.
CCP really needs to find a way to have the system detect 'stuck' sectors and fix the problem automatically without having to rely on a reboot.

agrees there tharnn, seems like the whole arraingement is assbackwards, stucks create more need for customer service, which is already stretched to the breakin piont most days.
they need to have some way of gettin some detection and recovery, that doesnt involve gm moving folks ,or folks staying stuck for a long time while they ****er about fixing it CEO/Manufacturing and Research

SHould we complain about it YES.. The squeaky wheel more often then not gets the grease. Now unless Eve want to be more forthcoming of what is going on then we will sit and complain until its fixed..

Well, I am making my first post after 2 months of playing. Know why? Because I am freeken stuck for the second day in a row! Third time in last week. Yeah, last time was my fault. Should have read the travel warning but I was so egar to log on and see if I was unstuck from yesterday I missed it, jumped twice and got stuck again. So tomorrow I will log on and set training on a level 5 skill and come back in a week to see if basic stability issues in this game have been resolved. In the meantime I will be playing my free trial to Neocron mmorpg.

These highways need to be shut down and fast. They are causing a lot more trouble than they are worth IMO.

I've been stuck three times. Once for over 24 hours. I was annoyed for about 1/2 an hour then I got over it. I suggest other people do the same.
Eve is a good game but it's got some problems.

Having RISK crash on you when you've finally taken the americas, now that's something!
If stuck create and alt and go on a roundtrip, if you're hellbent on making money then why are you up by the 1.0 systems anyways?

I have only been stuck twice and I have played Eve since release. So no it really hasn't effected my gameplay much. This game is far from being perfect but it is a good game. Maybe you should come to terms with this.

Edited by: Khand on 03/09/2003 11:11:42 I'm pretty sure it was Anarchy Online which introduced a /stuck command which would automatically free you after 30 secs or so. The only problem with EvE having a similar thing is that usually being stuck means you have a black screen or the dreaded DNA screen which dosn't really present an opportunity of typing a /stuck command.

I've been stuck once.
Submitted a clearly written petition about it, and was unstuck within half an hour.
Granted, it wasn't one of those situations where they warned everyone off the system, so the GMs workload probably wasn't high.. but I have no complaints about their service in my situation.
