Probed him out guarding a mining op, warped to him, Hulks warped off just as I landed, so i tacked the golem. I had 850dps 100k ehp probing legion and a 500dps cerberus alt. Golem had bastion mode. I couldnt even put a scratch into his tank, and after a minute was forced to get off the field in deep armor. Brought a LOT of friends later, but they docked up and stayed docked. Will try black ops drop later. So, who had success with breaking new marauders, and how many ships you guys had?

Yeah he'll still be able to shoot at you with missiles but your repper should be plenty if you're speed tanking. Follow up by splitting for some lasers or drones, though tbh I haven't tried a mixed outfit in a while. Pilgrim works too. To give you an idea, I went EFT warrioring yesterday and was able to get an absurdly fit Golem with 219k dps active tank vs Caldari Navy Antimatter, 810k EHP, and >1400 dps, all on the same fit. The idea of tanking an entire fleet of dreads using nothing but local reps seems a bit OP. But it does require full set of HG Crystals, deadspace hardeners, all level 5s, links... etc. They would make good combat cyno ships in large fleet battles. A fairer assessment would be to relate how I was able to tank a carrier's worth of firbolgs on sisi using nothing but a single T2 XL booster while bastioned and Marauders I, yo. Me is wondering how well a fleet of bastion, rage torp Golems would do vs SlowCats or other sentry drone carrier doctrines... Free Ripley Weaver!

The difference is subtle, but this is infinitely more tolerable. In this situation, someone recognizes their folly and takes proactive steps to improve, while in your scenario someone just complains that their ship can't do everything flawlessly. People looking to get better = 90% of the forum's purpose.

If they killed drones they might have enough dps to keep pressure on his cap and have him cap himself out. His Nos is worthless with the changes to them.

Im going to assume that this means 850DPS total between the Cerb and Legion. 850DPS probing legion is complete BS. I would also like to see the fit where the Cloaky Prober Legion is having 350 dps or 850 which is probably not said well. Cloaky Legion is only viable as a laser one, and fight that much ehp its tanked in lows, so it's around 170-200 dps top top i think, I'm flying a Legion so would like to see that. Or you just rounded a number up high, and you had even less DPS and tried taking down a Golem which is now a mini Chimera :P.

Shame on you. subsystems: emergent locus liquid crystal aug. plating power core multiplier chassis optimization 6 beams w/ gleam, max skills, 3 navy heatsinks, 5% turret implants = roughly 850 dps. 800 standard, 850 overloaded. I can run em for about a minute hot, usually enough to kill most ratters (gilas, ishtars, domis, ravens, drakes, etc) 1 fed navy 1600mm plate, navy adaptive nano, dcu is 106k ehp (with t2 trimarks and explosive rig ofcourse). Need 6% power implant tho, or no afterburner for you. plenty of cpu left for sisters launcher, sansha scrambler, fed navy web. orbit at 8km, gleams do the work nicely. i never said my legion was cloaky. I dont need cloaky. Never said it was cheap either, but im not poor.

But yeah neuts are the best counter, even ASB vargurs will drop quickish once you shut off the invulns. Normal shield boosting and armor repairing ones will get stomped. Another counter is alpha, but you need 20+ guys for that typically. E.A.D

I would not be surprised if a few of these inty's had a nos fitted. They work like little neuts on that poor Vargur's cap pool. Factor in the max cap pool on those inty's and you see that the cap pool in the Vargur ends up well below the max cap recharge. Each shield cycle at that point from the Vargur just makes cap recharge worse and the Vargur is doomed. So small nos + cap hungry fit + just enough dps pressure means that Vargur was not looking good to begin with.
