I use Windows XP Remote Desktop and Windows 2000 Terminal Services all the time. So far the only limitation of this is it doesn't display DirectX (I think).
This is a actually a bit of a pain. Does anybody know of any application that will show DirectX, more specifically Eve?

I think this is NOT the right forum for this question and should have been posted in the Technical forum. Anyway, I have heard about several players who use "PC Anywhere" to play EVE remotely. There might be other options too like VNC but I have not tried them myself.

There are several programs, for instance Remote Administrator or VNC viewer. The problem with those is that they send screenshots all the time. Now, since you can limit that to a certain amount of shot per second, that is not the problem. The problem is that they eat CPU like crazy. On a Intel 2.4Ghz Xeon they will take about 20% of the CPU power.
If you have a machine that can handle a remote viewer and Eve at the same time... You got a winner :)

Providing on the host PC you running in a window and not full screen, RealVNC works well,
I'd suggest turning of the station enviroment as it speeds up the connection,
As an added benefit of using VNC is it works on Ipaq's and the xda phone. Play anywhere any time :D

Edited by: Tentimes on 03/09/2003 10:39:23 I would recomend tightVNC (tightvnc.com) as it is an actie project with poeple still working on it. It comes from the same source as realVNC and has some ports for other machines (including a Java viewer!)
Haven't tried it with Eve.

VNC/TightVNC and Remote Administrator (not MS product) can both display EVE... in 256 colors.
I use it to log on to flip skill training and maybe have a chat or two.. attempts at flying will make you seriously frustrated with every action delayed and every response VERY delayed

Wouldn't that be a kick to the ol' ego sack eh? Getting your ass kicked by someone playing on an iPaq on a bus somewhere.

Even if this could be done, it will use up ALOT of bandwidth, so it isn't really practical. ------------------------------------
