I'm going to try and build this model but I had some questions:
1. Is photo paper an acceptable substitute for 160 gsm paper? 2. Is there any type of special glue I should use? 3. When are the instructions going to be available? :) ---------- |

I've started scoring each model and it's actually quite time-consuming. I only have one of them on the first page scored and that took me nearly an hour.
I was wondering, how do we know where we're supposed to cut and where not to cut? Some of the white triangles looks like I'm supposed to cut into the triangle but I can't be sure.
I'm going to go pick up a new razor and some craft glue tomorrow. I printed mine out on 220g/m3 paper so it's thicker but the colors are also much nicer than standard paper. ---------- |

You mean like this one? It's really not that impressive because most of the detail is in the texture rather than the model itself. This rifter is impressive because it's so accurate to the actual model in the game. ---------- |

On another note, I've finished scoring the first page out of 7. Things are moving faster now that I figured out which lines I need to score and which ones I just need to cut. Hopefully by tomorrow, I'll be able to move onto cutting and figuring out how the pieces all fit together. ---------- |

I find that it really helps to score the sheet BEFORE you cut it up, since it'll make things much easier to fold. Also, use a LED flashlight (not a lamp or else the ink might run!) to shine directly on the sheet, it'll make the lines much easier to see. As for folding, I haven't gotten to that point yet. For some reason I'm working at a much slower pace than I'd like. The hours just seems to fly by without even my knowing... ---------- |

Steiner, what's the foam sealant for? I'm using rubber cement to glue the thing together. ---------- |

What kind of glue should I use? Rubber cement doesn't hold and regular Elmer's glue leaves a stain if I have excess runoff. ---------- |

Here's another tip: if you find your ballpoint pen jamming and starting to tear up the paper instead of scoring it (happens very easily on photo paper, which is what I'm using), try scoring it with the X-acto knife instead. I find that it gives very clean lines that are easy to write over with a darker-colored pen.
Oh, and if you're working on certain parts where the back side of the paper will show and you think the paper is thick enough to handle it (like photo paper, God I love the stuff), use a sharpie or a black marker and color in the back. It might smell horrible but at least the white won't contrast with the darker colors on the rifter. ---------- |

Some of us are working on it but nobody's done yet. Progress is slow over here, I've only managed to complete the lower half of one engine and I'm working on its upper half now. ---------- |
