Well, I'm digging this game immensely. True newb, started in late September/early October, been in two RP corps thus far and enjoyed them so far, despite the second one imploding rather gloriously....Eve has a lot to offer....
Including the weirdest PK's I've ever seen. Don't get me wrong, I *love* PK's. I was one myself in oldschool UO and maybe I will again someday....
....but I hope Eve's PK's/pirates are better then some guy named Fightsquad.
Security status -9.5 in a 0.4 security sector. He targetted me at a belt, I fire a spread of heavy missiles and hightail it out of there while he tries to scramble. Cool so far.
I make it out and to the station, wait to dock since I actually fired first (heh), and he starts up the Local smacktalk. Just like oldschool UO so far, cool :).
He then begins to say come out of the F'ng station, Undock you f'er, etc....again, still cool. A bit uncreative for my tastes since I played with legendary PK's who knew how to smacktalk, but hey, still fine ;).
I laugh and basically go "lol?" in local and then he ignores/blocks me?
Please tell me most pirates are men :)
Just a random story from lowsec from a true newb....

No point, really. It'd be stupid to brag about escaping from one ship.
And I meant to put this under Pirate stories, actually, above..d'oh. It be late.
Gist was that it was fun, didn't quite understand the ignore/block, and hope other Pirates are better smacktalkers really ;).

I would say the peson you encountered is the exception rather than the norm, so just ignore peeps like this and carry on and have fun. Most 'professional' pirates are generally smack free and are out to have fun same as everyone else. It is a game afterall.
Same applys to posters who have nothing constructive to say, though this seems to becoming more the norm than the exception these days

some pirates thing that swearing is smacktalk :P and well when their frustrated a lot is coming out :P

You will find that there are mouth breathers in every walk of life, in EVE. I've met anti pirates and CEO's of so-called reputable corporations who have crossed the line as far as smacktalk is concerned (personal insults).
My rule of thumb is; ignore local chat at all times and never feed a troll. The less you fence with them, the sooner they shut up.

Ahhh good old fightsquad  i think he is still in biomass cartel, if i remember right he podded someone after ransom was taken, when he was in Beer and kebabs, then was shortly removed from said corp.
Then i belive he done a spot of ripping off corp assets in another pirate corp within same alliance, aswell as leaving whilst in debt with alot of members.
all in all a general ingame bad egg
Thank god hes nothing to do with us anymore

hes in bm-c still, hes a good laugh but hs understanding of english isnt great. He was probably just frustrated :P
As for being a bad egg, well thats fine as long as he doesnt kill after a ransom (which he has not done so far in bm-c)
Im not worried ni the least about corp thieveing and hes good fun on ts so he wll stay til he does soemthing really stupid

Just adding a little background of this character to the story.
I did say INGAME bad egg and wouldnt dream of sinking for the personal insults.
How could i have anything against bad eggs

Fightsquad is just a simple corp thief, don't expect anything more from him. He owns a few MAFIA guys som money, so when i get his corpse im willing to sell it for you, intrested ?
