What am I missing here?
When I look a the mining barges I see a whole lot less CPU than is required to run the Ice Harvesters and Strip Miners.
Even bumping the CPU up can't make up for the CPU needed to run these devices.
I have to be missing something.

The strip miners have like a 99.99% decrease in CPU usage on mining barges

OK. But the mid-level barge has 125 CPU and yes a 98% reduction for the devices but the devices require 12000 CPU. So that's 240 CPU with a 125 CPU to mount it on.
Still not getting it.

The requirements for the strip miners and ice miners were upped when RMR was released to keep people from fitting strip miners on Titans and Motherships. They adjusted the barge bonus accordingly but it is not reflected in the ship's description. The actuall bonus now is like 99.65% or something like... You'll be able to fit a full rack of strips, not to worry.

Actualy I needed to fit a Co Processor I to my med barge to get both strip miners installed.

Erm, huh? They take up 60 CPU on a Retriever, which can hold two strip miners. A base Retriever with no skills has 125 CPU. How can you not fit two without a Co-Proc? Are you trying to squeeze in other modules as well?
