I'm proposing a mineral drive operation for the Sisters of Eve. They have taken a significant hit in the last few days, losing a large amount of their ships and supplies, more importantly the lives of their comrades.
I'm searching for miners who would be interested in volunteering their time to mine asteroids for charitable cause to be donated to a Sisters' Branch that I will disclose in the near few days.
The collected ores will be reprocessed and left at the Sisters' station as a gift on escrow.
I hope to have this operation go forward within the next week, depending on how soon we get a feasible hand of willing miners. It will be in a secure system that is protected by Concord patrols, so no worries about possible piracy.
Possible time frames will be: 20:00 GMT to 22:00 GMT 22:00 GMT to 24:00 GMT 24:00 GMT to 01:00 GMT 01:00 GMT to 03:00 GMT 03:00 GMT to 05:00 GMT 05:00 GMT to 07:00 GMT
If you are interested in helping the Sisters' through this recent devastation, please leave your name and the time frame you are availible to assist during. The time frame that contains the most availible volunteers will be selected.

last "charity drive" i went to turned out to be a pirate trap lets just say its fortunate i mine in a ferox
Concords isnt going to stop a remotely piloted kestrel from blowing you away with rocket launchers
considering you arent a member of the sisters of eve or one of its affiliates and that you dont have much in the way of employment records, it think its cause to be suspicious
if you are merely new to the pod pilot community i apologize but a touch of paranoia is useful in most situations ---------------------

I'm not a member of the Sisters' but I thought it would be an amicable deed if we came together to help them. They have safe havens throughout the universe for weary travelers and they shelter and tend to the desolated.
I think it would be one of the least things we could do to show them how much their efforts are valued in the Eve Universe.
A pity someone would plot to attack our feeble mining vessels during this operation, suiciding themselves in the process. It would be a travesty to being-nature but it's a risk worth taking.
The Sisters' were willing to go to the catastrophe site and help those in need, ignoring the dangers and paranoias of what may still be lurking in the remnants of the destruction. I hope there's kindred spirits out there willing to help these noble folk and show them that their efforts do not go without appreciation in the universe.

The sisters of eve took losses for that specific reason, you never know when IRON might show up... Ive seen waay too many mining operations disrupted by suicidal frigates they seem to be attracted to large collections of mining barges in high sec, sorta like moths to a flame, just the flame ends up dying
further more im going to have to pass, im stuck out in the furthest reachs of deep space and its really not worth the danger of coming down
((ooc: watch out for anti-macro groups, swarm of mining vessels all from different corps looks very much like a macro mining op)) ---------------------

You bring worthy concerns to the integrity of this operation's success. It seems like it may be a good idea to broaden the call to folks versed in remote support that would be interested in flying cover for our miner's to protect us from these suicidal frigates of terror you warn of.
I will begin training in repair systems and logistic drone operation.

Good luck we have already offered real aid not charity drives and recieved no answer from the sisters all we asked for was a location to deliver it so until such time as they deem to answer all charity drives are futile "The truest measure of a society is how it treats its elderly, its pets, and its prisoners."

Wonder what would happen if ASCN showed up at the ir base with a convoy of frieghters and a fleet of battleships perhaps the first case of reverse piracy ever ---------------------

Hiya Yarod! and WOW Culmen! This is great news! The target date I was hoping for is next Friday or Saturday, this would give us enough time to recruit a substantial amount of volunteers and position our ships.
As for the location of delivery, I'm thinking of mining in local asteroid systems around a Sister's Bureau and depositing it that station's escrow in Ms. Sarpati's name. Wouldn't it be awesome if we cleaned all the nearby belts dry!

Rather then setting up an escrow to Ms. Sarpati wouldn't it be best to follow the instructions here?
But best of luck with your endevor, I hope that your sucessful with it.

Thank you Tennotsukai, I didn't catch that information. I will send an email with our plans Sister Masri and find out what she would have us do with the minerals.

We need further details. Where will the minerals be delivered and who will they be received by? If only official agents of SOE will do the hauling while the volunteers do the actual mining then this may be helpful.
My help is tenuously offered.

Hi there Uni, the plan was to originally leave the minerals in Escrow under Ms. Sarpati's name (CEO) at a Sisters of Eve Station.
However, i've since emailed Masri and am awaiting her response to find out whether she has a special request for the handling of these minerals.
As for the buisness of hauling, i've no other ideas but to have the miners set up an immediate dock sequence in their ship computer same as for getting back to the belt. Hopefully this will eliminate the need for haulers, though I know it won't be as efficient.
Since I can't vouch for the integrity of anyone involved, it wouldn't be appropriate to designate someone a hauler. Though a corporation could select one of their members to be responsible for the transference of their (members) minerals to the station.
As for the location, I have a spot selected but i'm hesitant to release this information until it is neccessary; to preserve the security of the asteroid belts. It is a system patrolled by Concord, however, so this will somewhat or mostly protect us from piracy. I've broadend the call to some remote support specialists who might like to join us; in case we have suicidal bombers, but I hope this won't be a problem.

Friday is tommorow! we're so close. Still no word from Masri, if we don't get a response we can go forward with the original plan of leaving it at the station.
Uni is 03:00 to 05:00 okay with you?
Anyone else that wants to help out is also still welcome to join!

Edited by: between4and24 on 04/03/2006 06:42:15 Just finished loading the minerals on to Escrow for the Sisters' retrieval. The total collected minerals were: Isogen: 13,000 Mexallon: 26,000 Tritanium: 13,000
I hope this will be of some use to the Sisters. Unfortunately I was the only one able to be present. No worries though, i'm sure they understand people have very busy Eve-Styles.

I've just received word from Masri that she will be collecting the minerals on Wednesday. This gives the possibility for a second round of mining if anyone would be interested.
