 Well I was doing an agent mission last night to kill some "Roque Angel" pirates. I killed the pirates and quess what...no data sheets to complete the task. I even left the system and came back to the spawn point. I killed them again...no data sheets..Needless to say I failed the agent mission. Must be a Bug Well you all have fun..Wonder what happened..

Was this part of the training missions? I just completed it yesterday and everything went smoothly.
I wouldn't be surprised if the loot drop was a little buggy though - but perhaps there's another explanation, maybe there can only be one instance spawned at once and somewhere nearby was an old container with the sheets in them.
No idea really, but sorry the mission was botched for you.

That happened to me once... what happened was it dropped two things of loot, and I only looted one. When I went back I got another pirate at the location and no second loot container around. When I blew up the guy he dropped nothing. It fixed itself when I let the mission timer run out then took the mission again. Probably a bug of some kind.

I will try the mission again tonight to see if it fixes itself. I killed both of them and got the loot from both cans but no sheets on both occasions. Thanks for the help guys..

It's happened to me before too. Try buying data sheets off the market and turning those in next time. If I remember correctly, turning in a bought item worked for me when the pirate didn't drop the item it was supossed to drop.

Seems to be a common issue when you get a mission with more than one pirate. As noted by others just buy some spares from the market.

Greetings Owner-Captain,
I encountered the same situation several times over the last 2 days of working for my agent (I think he has a "mole" in his corp feeding him false intel).
To insulate myself against the problems obviously rife in this NPC corp. I got in touch with a source of good forgeries (i.e. datasheets & reports purchased from the NPC market) to keep on stand by for just such an occasion.
I've been able to pass along these forgeries to my agent without him detecting a problem. I suggest you do the same.

I had a similar problem. I didn't do the newbie missions as a newb because I broke the tutorial, so I thought I'd get to them now. Of course, I tried to take an Indy out on the missions.
When fighting the two Angel Rogues, I had to flee after killing one in order to recharge my shields. Upon returning, moments later, I killed the second. No drop.
But, there were two MORE in the distance. I flew in, killed both of those, and the second of those dropped the data sheets. So, I had to kill 4 instead of 2.
I have more trouble with trade missions, so I've just stopped doing those.

Hey all thank..Nice to know I am not the only one. well I tried it again 3 times during lunch......Pirates killed and quess what? you got it no data sheets. gggrrrr...So ive moved to my 3rd agent...lowly bastard. Lets see how he goes. Ill find out tonight. Oh I'm not a new player just have not done agent missions with my alt. :) So again thanks for the support.. You all have a good day...

Ran into the same problem a few months back... VIPs wouldn't drop off the pirates at the bookmark... So I avoided any rescue the VIP missions after the second time it happened.

To get round the problem of missing data sheets you should be able to buy some off the market and the agent should be happy with that. Tbh I thought this bug had been sorted by now.

Please file a petition, a good place to go to to ind out what to do is the in game channel "help". You can easily join channels through the channel button in the "menu" to your left in game.
