I love it, some nice guy gave me 5 million ISK..
And is this like other MMO's where if you have a girl character people assume you're female?

No, we're quite aware that girls don't exist on the intarweb.

Funny you mention it ... in normal mmogs I always create female characters as I have to see their bottoms for years. I always thought funny things about the theory that a male creating female characters was ***: I mean, seeing for hours, every day, years after years a big male troll ass as big as your monitor is straight, right  ?
In EVE there are no avatars, unfortunately. But I created men characters ... ships are neutral, so np in watching them all the time !

Anyway im glad you love the game. You may have noticed itÆs not as simple as most other 3year old + MMO's out there, and I hope you continue to have fun with eve.
PS, EvE is a perfect program there are no glitches or Hacks or anything for the sort.... Only Unexpected features.

Many people are like me - I never bother looking at player portraits (I have them turned off) OR biographies (made-up and/or irrelevant crap and/or meaningless "cool" quotes lifted from the 'net), so unless the name is overtly female, I don't even know what gender they are supposed to be playing. I just don't care. It's how people act in chat and how thay play that influences me towards a player - whatever their real or purported gender.

Welcome to the game. You will eventually find out there there are INDEED actually females players that play. I may have like 10 female avatars in my Corp, only two are actually female though.
If I see ya some one, give me a /wave, maybe I will send you some ISK.
P.S. - no ISK for the Bday boy? Disappointed. ;)

The character's avatar is really not taken into account by most people. Most people never bother to actually look at someone's avatar, so sometimes they don't know if it is male or female.
I know female's that play male avatars, and males that play female avatars. More men then women play EVE, but I'd say the typ of avatar you have has no bearing on how you are viewed.

Pretending you're female in EVE is a profession. You can make money solely off of that.

I've done male and female toons, and the odd thing is I wind up going with the female toons
simply because even in eve, I want eye candy...
I'm male, sue me for prefering to see pretty ladies over fugly men as my characters (or portraits) :-P
