For immediate release Tash-Murkon Region - After closed discussions this week, it has finally been officially announced that the British Space Corporation (ticker: BSC) shall be providing the New Venal Alliance (NVA) with a sizable war-fleet to secure their hold on the Venal Region.
The fleet, heavy on Electronic Countermeasure-Ready ships in Cruiser and Battleship classes is due for dispatch to the NVA inside of the month, with first shipments starting soon. Exact numbers are not currently in the public domain, but estimates place the number of battleships above ten, and cruisers at least quadruple that number.
"We decided it was truly time that such unlawfulness in the outer-Regions of space is stamped out", Doctor Angry, second-in-command of the BSC stated earlier today, "The actions of corporations like Taggart Transdimensional, Space Invaders and M3G4 can not continue unchecked."
The Royal Industrial Department (RID) of the British Space Corporation has reportedly stepped up into high-gear, stockpiling minerals for the ship-builds and extra factory time has been leased from stations hosting RID Construction teams. Royal Security Department (RSD) forces are said to be in a state of high alert, and are sweeping BSC occupied space to ensure the ship supply is unhindered.
While regular BSC contracts are likely to be disrupted by such a large scale production of war ships, the RID is confident of being able to meet the demand in short order.
About the BSC http://eve.britishspacecorps.co.uk/ The British Space Corporation is the premiere private ship-building corporation within the Tash-Murkon Region of Amarr Space. With the ability to produce ships of all classes, and for most races, the BSC is without parallel in the Region, if not the Amarr Empire itself. --

This press release puts the lie to those who think the New Venal Alliance has no teeth. TTI should take note: They are no longer welcome in Venal. Thank you for your support, BSC. |

As CEO of Jericho Fraction and a founder member of the New Venal Alliance (NVA) I formally commend and welcome the support of the British Space Corporation in the difficult early days for the new regional alliance.
We are a government born from strife and the chaos of past disasters, but our eyes are fixed on the path ahead, and our hearts are resolved to make a better future for the region to the clear benefit of all law-abiding corporations of Eve.
The British Space CorporationÆs formal recognition of the NVA is a significant and damning blow to the dark imperial urges of CEO Ragnar and the Taggart Trans-piratical Alliance.
Honest men speak. Honourable cause is made.
Let the histories of the future reflect this moment of shining principle with generous accord and bright-spoken praise.
Jade Constantine; Jericho Fraction representative to the NVA council.

Perhaps Jade, putting both our corporations differences aside for one second, you could enlighten me as to how my corporation will benefit from the NVA?
For your response I would like you to ignore the slavery issue, as taken in light of our Amarrian heritage this practise does not make Pie Inc non-"law-abiding".
Will I be able to mine in Venal?
Lets not paint this entire episode as something it's not. The NVA (and the VA) wants to restrict a very valuable part of the EVE universe to a select group of people. Some members of the VA werent pulling their weight in a war with another bunch of greedy corps (FA) so the rest of the VA wanted them out. Aforementioned idlecorp then declared war on the rest of the VA who deemed them idle.
To me, and many others, with FA taken out of the equation, this civil war is merely a battle of who gets to mine the Arkanor!
Perhaps you should drop the rose-tinted rhetoric and hyperbole and stick to the facts, VA/SA/FA have always been about the almighty ISK. You dont care about the other citizens of EVE's universe.
The only outcome I would like to see of this war is every warpgate INTO and OUT OF the Venal region destroyed and you lot left to duke it out in isolation, ad infinitum ......

The Departments of the British Space Corporation, being a company based in sovereign Amarr Space have been sanctioned by the Amarrian Heirs as well as the SCC.
As such, our departments are actually in place by Royal Appointment. Hence the Royal Industrial Department (RID), Royal Communication Department (RCD) and Royal Security Department (RSD). --

Monsieur Katarn, I apologise for neglecting your answer, I confess other threads did catch my attention. I thank you for reminding me.
It is however difficult for put our corporations differences aside when considering a question about your corporationÆs access to Venal. ItÆs a clever question in context;
Assuming for the moment we are talking about a generic corporation rather than PIE Inc.
The advantages of NVA existence are manifest.
1. The NVA is opposed to the Taggart Transpiratical Alliance. This alone, is reason enough for honest corporations to consider our ideals in kindly light. The membership roster of TTA corps leads like an evil predatory scum hall of fame. By reclaiming Venal for lawful governance and regional stability the NVA is denying a spawning ground for this growing blight beneath the madman RagnarÆs banner.
2. The NVA is committed to free access to lone ships, freelancers, explorers, couriers and merchants. No longer will an exclusive pass-only system exist, and the Venal region will become a free market for unrestricted access to corporations and individuals of honest intentions and respect for the principles of NVA constitution.
3. The NVA is prepared to offer access contracts to non NVA mining and bulk trade corporations by pre-arrangement. This too provides an opportunity for corporations hitherto limited to empire space to stretch out their ambitions and experience the potentials of the wild frontier.
4. And potentially the most significant issue of all; the NVA is forging a partnership of likeminded honourable alliances and corporations through the EVE star cluster. If our gift to the future is merely that tyrants and villains will not dare to go openly in the guise of upright businesses as had been the custom in times before, then Sir, I submit to you that our promises will have wrought fine reward to faith and expectation both.
Now then, to PIE Inc. Specifically,
1. Jericho Fraction has declared the intent to war upon your corporation, has passed a vote to the effect, and is only prevented from enacting the vote by an arcane clause in Concord law. As a member corporation of the NVA Jericho has the right to propose a motion to the council that the NVA itself consider PIE inc an undesirable presence in NVA territory, but whether we would exercise that right is a matter of our internal discussion and is by no means certain. PIE is certainly not a threat to galactic peace on the level of Taggart Transpiratical, and by your corporations proposal of laws of conduct and customs of war it is clear that your are honourable after your own customs, and a quite different proposition to the broader pan-regional conflicts raging elsewhere. Put simply though, I suspect you would not be able to mine in NVA safely, but not due to NVA condemnation, but to the specific hostility of Jericho assets operating within the rules of war proposed to me by monsieur Hardin in times before.
To your declamation on NVA intentions with regard to restricting access to an area of space; you are wrong Sir, our statement of principles outlines our intentions and by the composition of our membership you may judge the chances that have gone, both profound and significant.
With regard to rose-tinted rhetoric and personal musing on our intentions; you have a right to your opinions. A shame indeed that the slaves on your plantations are not paid the same respect by your lips.
A final point, I shall be personally proposing before the NVA council at formal session that slave-ownership shall be afforded no protection in law within NVA space. In essence I would see that the mere arrival of a once-slave in NVA territory would be sufficient to dissolve previous claim of ownership and ôpropertyö rights attendant. Any slave-owner trading in NVA space would be liable to confiscation and liberation of assets and property.
I hasten to confirm is my personal intention as Jericho representative to the council and not yet passed into law.
I trust your questions are answered monsieur Katarn.
Love and peace

Many thanks for the response.
Regarding the "issues" that the NVA may, or may not have regarding possible mining operations by Pie in "your region" have no fear, the issue is a moot one as far as I am concerned, I hold nothing but simmering contempt (NB, not to be confused with jealousy) for the majority of the corporations within NVA/VA/FA/SA and have no desire to visit youe humble abode.
I was merely trying to prompt you into a plain-english discussion on what the EVE everyman can expect from your new alliance, as I would imagine some struggle to comprehend your PR laden posts sometimes. For the record, I class myself as an average person within the EVE universe, and I have to admit, I couldnt give two hoots about TTI, I am not in love with them, neither have they ever cossed me.
I do find it amusing though, that you intimate the desire to potentially pull the NVA into your war with Pie. Surely madame, this would make you just as megalomaniacal as the "corrupt, power mad" CEO of the corporation the NVA currently has its main "beef" with?

I can assure you that short of attack on national (as opposed to Jerichite) NVA assets that the NVA will never interfere with either PIE (saints in the making) or Oracle (abominations and infidels) whilst I am a member - for such actions would make it necessary for me to renounce all ties and join you on the battlefield. This is admitedly a rather complex moral and political situation for me :-(

Quote: I do find it amusing though, that you intimate the desire to potentially pull the NVA into your war with Pie.
I do no such thing. I merely outlined the possibility without expressing feelings one way or another as to the likely decision.
Quote: Surely madame, this would make you just as megalomaniacal as the "corrupt, power mad" CEO of the corporation the NVA currently has its main "beef" with?
I hardly think so, but then, 'tis a moot point since the "desire" you claim resides in me has no present existance in print nor thoughts on record. I would have thought my feelings on the matter were relatively clear. PIE is no threat on the level of Taggart Transpiratical, and hence 'tis extremely unlikely that an appeal to regional authority be made.
Love and peace
