So, here's the story:
A corp member was deleting his character, so we wanted his frozen corpse as a keepsake. We traveled to .4 space and I attacked first. His navitas took quite a few hits from my thorax's one heavy beam laser. By the time he was podded and killed, my sec status was -2.9. 
My question is, what happens now? With a security status of -2.9, can I travel in high sec space? Does my faction standings have anything to do with CONCORD attacking me? Will sentry guns shoot?
I should have thought of all this before hand!!

Have you been drinking?
Why not just ask him to self destruct and then pick up his corpse???
Anyway, to get your security rating back to normal is quite easy. All you have to do is kill about 23 million npc pirates and you will be ok.

Or pay your local agent the right sum and get the record cleared. If you do agents that is.

Or kill any concord to challenge you presence.
Though that one might be a bit tricky.

You shouldnt loose sec rating for attacking or podding a corp/gang mate.

So, cops will attack me? At what sec level will I be safe to travel in high sec space again?

if you attack a gang/corp buddy, cops should not attack you, your sec rating shouldnt drop.

If memory serves -1.5 is the cutoff for being shot at, I do believe. But it is 4 am, and I have a great memory, but it is very short.

At -2.summing Minne status their navy chased me through 1.0 sectors but otherwise left me alone. Concord might be less forgiving though :P
