How exactly is corp standing measured? I thought it somehow was related to the average standing among the corp members but in my case it isn't.
For example my personal standing towards a faction is 2.83 while my corp standing towards that faction is 0.47
What is the best way to proceed in rising the corp standing?
/c

It is the average of all who have any standing whatsoever with that corp.
Best, well, only way to raise it is to get ALL corp members working for that corp, getitng high standing. One person with low, or negative, can bring the whole corp's average down.

Chribba's corp isn't exactly overflowing with members to drag the standings down.
I have no idea how the system works Chribba, if in fact it does.

Hence exactly my question, I am the only member and there has never been anyone else but me, so if it was the average, the standing _should_ be exactly the same as what I have - but apparently it is not.
The mystery continues...

What is your standing when you subtract the boni from skills?
I think your corp cannot use your personal skills, so it should be lower.

Will have to check up on that, however imagine then getting the corp standing to like 7 (for use of jump clones) it is nearly impossible, or would at least take a year or two mission/npc'ing.

if your the only person in corp it wil be 50% of your standing without your skills i think
so a 1 man corp cant never get higher then 5 standing
so you need more people in corp with high standing
think corp is calculated as a person aswel with zero standing, so you need 2/3 people to get standing 7
but im not sure about this though

I think the corp standing tends towards the mean of the standings of everyone in the corp, but it takes time. Over a period of several weeks, you may notice your corp standing increasing towards the mean standing of all members.

The only real way to get a corp standing of 8 (needed to setup clones) Everyone in your corp would have to do some kind of missions IE level 4s and well the standings needed to setup the clone almost impos and is better if your corp/alliance owns the station.
Other than that there is no other way i think.

I thought it was the average of base (ie. unmodified by skills) standings of all members but that it was calculated with a delay.
I.e. each downtime your corp standing gets closer to the average of corp members but takes a while to actually get there.

to get it up faster have ppl in the corp run agent missions and do storyline missions to raise it, the raise happens during d/t afaik, it took me a week or 2 to get my standing up from 2.5 to 5+ to be able to get a pos in hi sec :)

Also: people that already have standing with a faction/corp and then join your corp, contribute nothing until they do a new mission for that faction/corp. After that 1 mission, thaey start contributing their full standing (without skill) for THAT corp/faction only.

What everyone else has said. Basically, everyones standing, averaged out.
If you're wanting to raise it for jump clones, then the best way is to have 1 person (and 1 person only) run agents for a small unknown (or uncommonly used) corp. That means that since they are the only one running for that corp, only their standing affects the corp standing (so, effectively, you get a 1 to 1 for standing)
