hi
i have read on diffrent places words like
ninja mine or afk mine or troll mine. what is this?
and how do i do it?
i know that afk is away frome keybord. but how to mine afk?
is it leagel to do this or will folks kill me fore doing it?
how do i do it if i want to try? where can i read more?

afk mining is either using a barge with a crap-load of expanders so you don't have to be at the keyboard 24/7, or taking an industrial into a belt, locking a roid, setting your 1 mining laser going and then going afk for 10 hours.

There are three main types of mining:
Ninja mine: Go to asteroid, mine until your cargo hold fills up, go back to station to unload. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Can mine: Mine asteroids, but throw all of your ore into a jet can. When you're finished, get an industrial and haul the ore back to station. Or, if you have a large group mining, you can have one person continuously hauling everybody's ore back to station while everybody else mines.
AFK mine: Set up an industrial with a mining laser and all the lowslots filled with cargo hold expanders. Park in front of a huge asteroid, activate the mining laser on it, walk away.

Afk mining won't generally get you killed if you do it in high-security space. But if you want to set it to mine and say go to work for 8 hours... you'd need something like an industrial or a dreadnought or it'd fill in 5 mins.
Ninja mining is zooming around in a fast miner ship nipping small bits of high-end ores before the uber rats can get you. This is rare now as everybody is in an alliance that controlls space, and therefore use 'tank mining' instead which involves sitting in a battleship and absorbing NPC damage while mining.
Not heard of troll mining.

Troll mining is sitting on the forums, warping from thread too thread trying to find trolls and isntead of feeding them you suck em dry. Although I still haven't figured out how too suck a troll, reports indicate that it is possible.

I'd guess troll mining would be either ore theft, or killing miners and scopping up the cans full of ore.
My domi is pretty ugly
It's tech II drones do the deed.

you can ninja mine in 0.0 very well with a covetor or retriever, those rats are very dumb slow to react when they come. of course you can't be afk more than 5 sec.

Ninja Mining is going into owned 0.0 space and mining good ore from under and alliance(guess from under NPCs could be ninja as well)
AFK Mining is using an industrial in 1.0 or .9 space and usually its mining a ultra huge veld roid
Macro Mining is use of a 3rd party program that plays for you and can basicly run two accounts and handle ejecting the ore on one account and picking up the cans on another.
Macro is the one thats against the EULA and ruins the ecnomy(the ice markets are reported trashed by macros).
