Edited by: Quela on 27/02/2006 16:05:15 Yes laugh if you want but I am quite serious about this, I was thinking, could a coveter mining barge stand a chance at pirating?
It has the same amount of HP as a Cruiser, with Tec2 drones and good drone skills (which I have) and an armour repairer and hardener in its low. It has insta locking time so can scramble/web easily. I think this could work!
Imagine being ransomed by some one in a miningbarge !! muahahaha

Wouldn't work at all without jamming, you might kill some inties/frigs though. -------------------------------------

hehe .. that reminds me when I tried to gank a macrominer in a covetor , the tought was that hey I probably tank better in my barge than them.. so if they where stupid enough to attack my barge maybe I could take them out.
But nobody attacked my barge of the macrominers, instead they choose to attack Assault frigs and such... go figure. ---------------------------------------------- "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a man, I have put away childish things." 1 cor. |

Would probably work nicely if you find someone mining. Could amble up next to them pretending you're just here for 'roids, then give 'em a nasty suprise

Might work better as a lure with a buddy out of scanning range nearby, but solo, could be interesting as well.

Killing stuff in ships made for other things is alot of fun. I have a transport ship with 3 BS kills under it's belt.

nos, and some drones, and a disrupter.
and an heavy 2low slot armor tank(not) 1 eanm and a plate if there is pg for it.
Go to a belt and pray that nothing bigger then a frig or indy goes for you. dont think you will be able to nos a cruiser in time. The good thing is the locking time. The bad thing is that even whit a web on target, you are slow as hell and he can move outsite 20km range and warp.

Lone Ospreys work really well for piracy, but I don't know about barges...
