Has anyone successfully run eve on the new 5308 build of vista.
I'm using an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro with 256mb of RAM and have 1GB of system memory.
Currently I get a warning that I don't have the correct DirectX version, then if I click Yes on that notice I get the splash screen and where the login screen should come up, I get a black blank window.
I tried the compatability modes and they didn't help.
Anyone had any success in this area?

It simply don't work in DX10. There should be some alternative way how to launch game, but if I don't find anything today I will take a break from eve until they fix it.

Why would anyone want to ?
I've got a bloomin Microsoft training course soon on this new Vista OS and Im bricking it.
ITS SO APPLE its hideous the user has so little control. The future of technology is going backwards.

I don't see where the OP is asking for a patch? Could you quote that section? All I see is him asking if anyone else got it working and how they did it.
** People like you make me want to access your brain and type "rm -rf /*"
