add standard keyboard shortcuts to the interface? I mean, ctrl+X, ctrl+V, ctrl+A...
All these usefull shortcut you are used to and that would help a lot when moving stuff (drag and drop sux when you have loads of things to move in different places).
Not a priority oc, but I would appreciate (and maybe other players too).

ctrl+A works. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |

You can select multiple items by holding CTRL and clicking on each one. You can select multiple items in a list by clicking the FIRST item and then HOLD SHIFT and click the LAST item. It will select ALL items in between the two. You can then drag all the items at once using either method.

I want shortcuts for things like orbit, keep at, undock, dock, warp, target, stuff like that, or being able to assign keys to this.

CCP appears to be religiously against the idea of proper keyboard shortcuts. Would it be so hard to add shortcut options for the overview actions (Approach, Orbit, Lock, etc) and controlling drones? As a general UI maxim, combat should never require pull-down menus. The menus should be an option for rarely used things, but all basic combat functions should be viable from the keyboard.

Also, if you only want to select every item accept one, right click on the item you don't want and select "Invert Selection"

Yeah, Eve's a bit RSI-'friendly'. The start's already there in the main menu when hitting Escape, but I'd love to see more options there like some of the ones already mentioned here:
* keep at X - preferably various settings * orbit at X - preferably various settings * drone commands * set speed
etc. etc. _

while I do think that some simple keyboard shortcuts could be useful, you should also think about that: EVE is the only major MMOG that does not require remembering all the stupid "/say", "/sleep", "/wtfpwn" commands. You dont need to write anything more than chat with your friends. - ------------------------------------------- Helios enterprises is recruiting. 0% tax, 100% fun. |

Yeah, now that I think about it. Hotkeys for "Keep at Range" and "Orbit at Range" would be nice. I don't think drones and speed need hotkeys though.
-Speed... cause it's already really friggin easy to set your speed
-Drone... cause I think you should be active with your drones, I may be wrong, I just have this feeling that... and this isn't necessarily a terrible thing on all sides... drone fighting will deminish/deteriorate with the use of hotkeys. There just too many drone commands to give them all hotkeys. --- --- --- ---

k for ctrl+A, but more shortcut would be very nice. Obviously not everything has/needs to have a shortcut, but all the most used functions should have a shortcut (as said, orbiting, approaching..) Site ICEÖ since 26642 AD

Already done. I don't want ctrl+V/X for text only, but also for items, wich is not working ATM. Site ICEÖ since 127043 AD

Problem with keyboard shortcuts is that it doesn't know when you're trying to use the shortcut, and when you're typing in chat. -------------------------------------[04:04:04] Tom Thumb > for a nut case you rawk
