Greetings from the Syndicate-Placid Commonwealth, an alliance of corporations dedicated to the ideals of free trade, free travel, honor and justice. The S.P.C. is releaseing this statement to notify the general galactic population that we will be suspending one statement of our charter for an undertermined time period. This statement: The S.P.C. does not claim ownership of either the Syndicate - Placid regions and does not plan to ever project its power beyond the boundaries of these two regions of space. will be muted in our charter until further notice.
And now the "why". I will not bore you with the allready widely publisized details of the situation in Venal. However, it has come to our attention that the N.V.A. is now in a fight for independence from the TTi lead forces of ego-centrical piratical tyrrany.
After long long talks with the N.V.A., we are completely convinced that the N.V.A. are determined to establish an alliance based upon the high ideals of democracy and free travel, with a zero piracy tolerance. Ideals and values that echo our own charter. As these values parrallel our own, it is now our wish to help the N.V.A. in their strugle for independence.
From this point forward, the Syndicate-Placid Commonwealth herby pledges an undisclosed military aid package to the New Venal Alliance until the region of Venal is considered stable and under the control of a legitimate democratic government.

Your actions exemplify the principles your alliance has long espoused. Such vital integrity is the liveblood of civilised interaction. We are indebted to men of honour, and such a debt may only be paid by commitment and maintenance to the principles we share.

Though the NVA has courage and honour and the support of decent men and women across the galaxy Tehel.
Taggart Transpiratical has one significant potential advantage;
CEO Ragnar's moral and ethical illiteracy.
Your leaders will do literally anything to win. They will consider no manouver or strategem to low or to horrifying to consider. No deal with Ragnar is sacrosanct, no treachery dismissed. No ally or hireling too foul or too base to earn a temporary place at your leaders high table.
How you monsieur Tehel, once considered by the VA to be a man of honour and principle yourself, can stomach the alliance between your corporation and men like TankCEO is beyond me.
So to answer you point on paper-tigers; in lack of courage and wartime commitment yes, Taggart Transpiratical is a paper tiger. But Ragnar's low cunning is not. The man constantly surprises me with the depths to which he will go. I do not believe we have yet seen the depths to which Taggart and those allied to the name will fall.

Well Jade,
Paranoia is a good thing to have in such times, i guess you can never be too careful. However in regards to the SPC i do suspect they have no idea what they are getting into, no indeed i suspect once many of them start witnessing the realisim of how vicious this war that they will think twice and perhaps sacrifice dignity, as many of the old VA corps did and pull out.

This is where you are sadly mistaken Tehel, we are not the old Venal, once we commit ourselves to a cause; we are committed to the end. We have placed something very precious to us, on the line here and that is our word. Our word has been given that we will support, and fight with the NVA in order to stabilize the Venal region so that a free and open democratic society can flourish and grow.
I also believe once TTI realizes just how vicious and determined, the opposition that is arrayed against them is, it will be you that will pull out from this impossible situation with what dignity you have left. I pray to the god emperor, for the sake of those that are honorable among you, that you realize this sooner, rather than later.

Tehel, I am going to fill you in on something that due to the makeup of your regular company, you probably have never experienced before; People with integrity keep their word.
It's that simple. The SPC has committed its word and forces to the NVA. SPC Fleets are assembling as we speak. Soon those capable fleets will be conducting operations in and around Venal. There is no amount of "saber rattling" you can do that will turn those fleets back. It's a matter of integrity and we are committed.
