hey, this might be a stupid question but I figured I'd ask anyway. Is there ever going to be a chance of NPC POS's fully loaded with defensives (BS's intys, etc..)? I mean as it is now unless your into pvping theres really no reason to use capital ships, with random NPC POS's in .0 space that would give the "few" that live in deep space that arent tottally consumed by pvping a actual reason to make capital ships for use and not just selling.
Though understand I have NOTHING against the way eve is now with PVP, but a little added flavor wouldnt hurt.

capital ships are for PVP
EVE is a PVP game at its heart
I highly doubt they will be adding in pve content such as PoS's in 0.0 space. In fact, doing something like that would only encourage the PVE carebears to start yamming even more , until space everywhere is filled with em.

Edited by: Star Crush on 01/03/2006 23:19:49 Your missing my point.. npc POS's wouldnt take away anything from pvp, in fact it might ADD in that one corp tries to take the POS.. and get ambushed by another, use your imagination. Plus adding randomness to the spawn of npc POS's would create a sense of something to actually look for instead of camping the same plexes all day and night.

there are already NPC Poses... look in the audeser/kenobala system. They have their own dread guarding too :P.

Not *quite* what you're talking about, ASCN was tasked to take out a Sansha PoS a couple months ago, which had quite stiff defenses.

Seeing as the "PO" in "POS" stands for Player-Owned, I don't see how this would work out...

In essence this is a good idea that does eed some treaking to make it not to game breaking loot wise.
Any Groupe player content is good as it adds to the game but Make sure it is random in placement say 5 per pirate faction per month with a max of 8 per facction that way you get them respawning once a month at randome 0.0 locations.
Also give them MAJOUR defences or give them levels of difaculty like complexes and make them only found by using scanners therefore giving the exporers something worthwhile to sell to the alliances. -----------------------------------------------

Well, if you're going to complain about the 'Player-owned' designation, you could always have them switch it to 'privately-owned'
