yeh would have to imagine so.. just glad i was aligned for warp.. was taking a bit of a pounding from 3 npc's and was down to 10% shields.. so was ready to boogie out anyway.. if i hadn't been, i'd be cursing by now

if CCP can't make a patch in 4 hours dont tell they can omg they should have put a 24 hour notice on this one because then ppl will get glad if it opens earlier not dissapointed if its delayed and that reboot had a very short notice

Explain to me, why would ANYONE in their right mind, with slightest ammount of IQ would NPC hunt or PvP after a big patch like blood patch? And thats as soon as they can connect to TQ too

i was on for a good 20 mins before the cluster had to be shut down, so it wasnt 'as soon as they can connect to TQ'
if i had lost a ship, id petition it, just glad i saved myself (and the gm's) the time

maybe because they want to play what they are paying for? not like ccp gives you a days play back for free on patch days. so why shouldnt you play the game like you should be able to regardless of what day it is or how long the server has been up.
also the server was up for a good half an hour before it was taken down

Because this patch is actulay a minor one, consisting of just minor bugfixes and then some small changes to some module attributes. I can't call new bloodlines realy such a game altering feature. it should in any way not affect any existing functionality.
As bugfixes in combination with QA cannot lead to crap being send out, it was safe to assume the game would be playable after deployement. Even CCP was thinking that, as they only planned a 4 hour patch window. Well, we all know now that QA sucks at CCP. A bugfix should fix bugs, not create stupid other ones elsewhere that are noticable after playing 10 minutes. They totaly seem to have lost control :(.

No worries, its just a matter of filing a petition, then waiting till it times out, then file it again. And in a matter of 7-8 months, they will surely tell him that no lag ever came from eve, and that they are sorry for his loss ;)
Seriously, on server shutdown i think npc's "die" aswell :)
