Hey all, I am really baffled by this, if anyone could help I would really appreciate it. I am running Eve on a custom built PC. I'll list off the parts that might relate to my problems, in case it's a problem with the parts. CPU=AMD64 4000+, BFG Geforce 7800 GT, 2GB Corsair RAM. OK, the issue is, when I run two accounts, Windows will reboot with no warning, no lack of performance, no possible indication that something has gone wrong. When the system is back on, it says I have just recovered from a critcal error(I assume blue screen b/c it is never shown) and offers me the chance to send a report to Microsoft that will never be answered. I have done everything I can think of...updating the Video drivers, tweaking the virtual memory and a few other things. One thing I have noticed is that the crashing is more frequent while I have them mining/hauling together. Please help if you can. I'm really at a loss here.

What you are experiencing is a Video or Sound hard error. Windows has a setting to reboot on hard errors you can disable it and get an NT bluescreen description of the error, but this is also sometimes random due to errors as well. If you are running 2 clients at once that is most likely your problem, you are going to ahve to get a second computer for the second account. Most computers, even state of the art are not desgined to run 2 complex games such as eve at once. I have a second PC i use to play eve on and then my normal one to play whatever else im in the mood for or to browse the net and stuff.

I am running 2 accounts on 1 comp. I put in a 2nd hard drive and have 1 account on each hard drive. I have turned off the audio on both accounts, and I occ. clear out the cache on both accounts. I also do NOT have chat go to a file log. I am running both accounts at the same time mining and hauling or ratting and hauling in 0.0 with no problems. I only have a P-4 2.4, with 2g ram(4000), 2 80 gig H/D, no audio card(on motherboard)and an Asus P4P800-E deluxe mother board, and a Radeon 9550 video card w/256mb. Works fine.

I haven't treid running two Eve accounts, but with other games I've found the sound to be a problem. It seems like a common thread here.

go in option under general, remove option that talks about sun something. I cant login atm to check since servers are rebooting. But its an option that hides the sun when it is behind your ship. when enabled on both clients it cause major issues like pc will reboot by itself and stuff. I removed that option and now it works like a charm. I removed it on both clients to be sure. But try disabling it atleast on 1 client. its the 4th option in general menu i think. Let me know.

Turn off the sound on one of the clients. That's what I have to do, I don't know why, but it works for me.
