LOL, I did play WoW and im sick of that game too.. I want a real game please. This games fun and addictive already but hey games like this tend to do that and they get to make patch days longer and longer I guess.

I'm sorry to hear that you had the misfortune to start right before a patch day. This isn't uncommon in big patches, there are always issues (sometimes huge) that come with dumping something you've only got a couple dozen people to test at a time before on a server with over 20,000 people. However, big patches are almost always months apart, so it doesn't really end up being somethign that destroys the game experience.

Hey Jinx.. If you just bought this game a day ago and already there are errors in downloading patch, forums, Patching taking forever... WOuld you be upset? or would you just let it sly by? Im mad for a reason. I want to play eve because I just got the game.. your first days on Eve are like 24/7 obviously. So why can't I get upset and complain?

All I am saying is that you need to channel your emotions man. This is best game in the freakin World, seriously. Just be patient. I would be impatient, not upset. If I bought a new game and there was situation like this, I would spend the time whoring forums to learn more about the game, an opportunity to figure out what I should do etc.

Chill you just caught eve on a bad hair day. Take the down time to read up on some of eve's background get to know the game better before you plunge in trust me it will help you avoid some newbie mistakes you could still be reggretin months down the line.

You're mad because you were a n00b. Now you're not a n00b. Now you understand that problems occur on patch days and only a n00b would complain about it. The fact that today was patch day and that there would be problems were plastered all over the website and forums.
There's two rules to EVE: Never fly a ship you can't afford to replace, and set long skill training on patch day.
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle! Sadly my office mate doesn't know. He's been scrambling around all day coz he set a skill to expire right before downtime, but forgot to switch it. :)

Patches always screw up things in every MMORPG i have played in the past 7 years.
Stay cool, relax, take a nice dumb, have a beer.
If you are annoyed by it, good, then you like the game, b/c else you wouldn't care. Aside from this, try to remember, that CCP gives alot of free content upgrades with patches, whereas in any other game they make a $$-expansion from it.
