*Cheers for Mercs*
I thought the whole appeal of this game was the open play style and the fact that you could encounter a whole range of characters - some good ... and some good at being bad.
Alas - it appears this isn't what some people want. Lets hope 'Microsoft Bread-making simulator' gets released real soon - then these people can play a game they feel really safe with.

Ok, after i read a post about exploits, griefing & then i read the above, i came to a conclusion there was foul play involved, but after reading the further comments ( that came after statin there wasnt ) then i feel i must appologise and regret posting without knowing all the facts. I hope u can understand that. HF __________________________________________ 1.9 How can I participate in beta testing EVE? |

Well s0cks as long as you and the other frigate gurus enjoyed yourselves then it's all good in the hood. Why play a game to be bored right?
But you are one smack talking SOB!! hehehe.... I enjoyed reading these posts very much... Thank you!

Hard to take "Mercenaries" seriously when they act independently...especially just to grief others (Self-confessed at that).

Actually its a corp effort, to convince ppl to declare war (just check the corp description), surely you would have known that if you had just read the rest of the post. And I only demand around 10% to 15% worth of the ore before i blow it up (say 100k, for a million isk worth of scord). If people don't pay - they know the consequences - declare war and use a secure next time.
Anyway, at the end of the day its all fun, and we would much rather be fighting corps. And to be honest it works both ways. It gives us fighting experience, and it gives the opposing corp practice too. There is a lot to be learned in warfare.

Instead of doing that, why not just...y'know.....declare war on these people in the first place rather than picking on uninvolved parties?
My other point still stands as well, if you're prancing around calling yourself "Mercenaries" then why are you acting independently of any other entity?

When the corp first started its primary goal was to be hired by corps for fighting. Well no-one ever seemed to need us so we changed tactics.
We can't declare war on every tom **** and harry, because you can only declare 3 wars maximum.

Hurting players in secure space is a wuzzes way of a thrill, try that crap in a 0.0 zone and see what happens.

Edited by: Toulak on 06/09/2003 11:32:45 I do recall a time when I was out mining with my corp. I was in a Moa and the rest of the corp was then loggin off so they all headed back, I was left in the belt by myself waitin for the hauler to come along to collect the rest of the ore.
Next thing I knew 4 frigates appeared from nowhere, instantly locked onto me warped scrambled me, and tried their hardest to do some damage. I just sat there whacked me sheild hardener on and laughed. This was in Aedald about 2 weeks ago, I thank you Mercenary frigates for a damn good laugh, shame you couldnt kill an unarmed moa. Best of luck to ya.
Oh yeah and a corp member of mine podded one of you yesterday, said he had a good laugh again he was on his own mining vs 4 frigates.

Wait, if the guy is a -10 rating, then yes!!! he is doing wrong, if not, this corp is good for the game, keeps us on our toes:).
Maybe, dont pick on the small corps though, go after the big boys.
You seem to be having alot of fun, and like i say as long as you arnt exploiting, good luck to you.
My eve life has gone a little flat at the moment, the only pvp i seem to be able to get in my cruisers is against a couple of pirate battleships.
frigates open a world of pvp up, i find i can pay my 100% insurance, then get killed and actually make money.(with standard modules)

However, keep up the good story writing.

Edited by: Mr Money on 06/09/2003 20:55:43 I really like the MF because I like blowing up someone that doesnt whine and cry about how evil and mean I am for taking out there ship.
And I try to make a habit out of blowing up every MF I see. GL
I like chocolate milk, milkshakes, regular milk, money, and chicks with big racks
