When I went to install the newest patch it got to the 16th file and then said the install program was corrupted. I then tried to manually download the patch but I still get the same response at the 16th file. Apperantly this has corrupted all my Eve files and I need to reinstall, but if the patch installer itself is the problem then it wont help anything. I'm thinking it would be important to fix this.

i had the same problem as well i even uninstalled eve and tried to download the newest client. it gets to 99% before it says the file is corrupt or incomplete. i seem to have this problem when there are large patches im using the internet download manager 5.02 to speed up the download process. at 89-99% of the setup i get an NSIS error. any help would be nice.

I also have the same problem, the patcher wouldn't work, so I tried to reinstall the new complete build. I've had problems with NSIS errors before, but only luck has got me past them to install EVE before. Anyone with information on how to fix NSIS errors please respond |

Anyone know what it means by the /NCRC command line?

I've tried it. Go to Start->Run and browse for the path of your EVE installation build. After doing that add a space then /NCRC to the end of the line before you run it. It will bypass the installer checker and let you try to install it. Mine still crashes halfway through install, but good luck. From all I've read about the problem, people get lucky and software will randomly install.

what makes this even more difficult is that many people dont even have a cd to use as a "good" version. if anyone who has a current or older game client version that installs maybe they could put it up on a ftp server or else im going tohave to find a hard copy on the internet somewhere.

has anyone gotten the client to install ok? im still getting the error even at 99 and 100% im reinstalling video/system/sound drivers and then im going to try to download it to another computer, see if it installs and if it does im going to burn the download to cd and use that from now on
also if any CCP people could help with possible solutions that would be nice too.

for being such a littl epatch i didnt expect this to be this bad. i would have guess RMR or the new hardware would have made more problems. anywho imma let them do their thing and i hope they do a mini patch to resolve their problems.
it is TYPICAL in MOST mmos for patch days to be rough and on occasion a few days after. i dont get what all the ranting is about. yea there are test servers but not a whole lot of people play on them.

I had the same problem (NSIS error). I got the new client to install by removing one of my two memory-banks. Might have been luck, but some compression software gets confused when there is more than one memory-bank. Now the new client is installed I'll try putting bank no 2 back in.

ok id REALLY like some support response on this issue. i searched online about the NSIS problem and no help there so i downloaded and installed on another pc and burned the exe to a disk. files sizes are the dame so it should be a good burn. still wont run on my pc. maybe driver issues? .net problems? i dunno but id really like to play eve on my good pc and not my crap one.

agreed, I hate having to play on my slow laptop instead of my desktop computer. I still can't get it to work on my desktop. I understand game bugs causing problems when trying to run the game, but the installer? This is ridiculous. It shouldn't have such a hard time putting files on my computer.
