if a corp declares war on your corp do you have to consent for it to be lagit?

If you dont consent, they have to keep paying their war bill. If you consent, there are no bills to pay (I think, else someone correct me).

Has your corp been declared on?
Its always a good idea to have a small military wing in any corporation 'just in case'.

Yeah, but realize that the bill is (I believe) only 1M a week, and I can make that in half an hour mining kernite in my Osprey.
So yeah, basically they are free kills. Be ready to rally with frigate wolf packs, and show 'em you won't keel over and die. That's my advice for any new corps threatened by the bottom feeders.

Not every war declared on a newb corp is by bottom feeders. Sometimes its caused by load mouth, smack talking newbs that don't know when to zip their lips and keep their fingers from the "O", "M", "G", "B", B", "Q", "I", "P", "W", "N", "J", "0" and "0" keys.
If your corp get wardeced, an officer should contact them and see why...sometimes a bit of diplomacy goes a long way....sometimes you may find out that it's your own fault or a new member's mistake. A fast correction or even apology can go a long way in preventing the war.
Othertimes...yeah...bottom feeders. /shrug

The mechanics of the game make Frigate swarms effective against much larger ships.
Even at a 20:1 loss ratio you still inflict more financial damage on them than they inflict on you. Very cheap way to gain combat experience.
