This is something that can only be anchored in Lowsec - Nullsec - WH space (horrible idea tho) It needs to be away from POS shields. It takes 15 minutes to anchor Its worth over 3 Billion Its Big (8K m3)
I was just wondering what you guys though about it. |

Same thing would of been said about the mobile depot unit.
And for being it without risk, ya, tell me titans are without risk? Titans are inside a POS, with allot of guns, and you can jump people from outside the shied, they are also safe and can be within inside the protection of the guns. Scrambles, jamers, what ever you got there. |

It is indeed, only capital ships before could refit you in middle of space now every ship can.

Because this would create fights that not only people who are SOV holders can handle, jump in more ships. Its the same thing has a titan at the end of it, it can be jammed by POS cyno jamers... mobile cynoe jamers. So on. |

Ummm... nooooooooooooooop. If anything, regular jump bridges and Titan Bridges should be removed from the game. We don't need more stuff that increases the ability for large organizations to project their power over even more territory. Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

Large? isnt that why i requested this? Titans are for goon swarm, this is for smaller corps, anyone can stack up 3 billion isk, thats the point, to make more fights for smaller groups of people. |

Fitted titans don't they run like 60billion? and are massive undertakings to build. Not to mention they require certain level of SOV that requires a monthly cost. Alliance JB are close to same thing without the massive cost.
Ya why would anyone bother with any of that if they could get cheap mobile JB's deployed anywhere. You thought titans were bad wait till the big alliances got a hold of that
Also the force projection and ease of movement is a reward for massive numbers of players working together to get.
It shouldnt be just handed over because you want it for smaller groups.
Not to mention alliance JB's are severely limited. Only 1 per a system forcing you to jump through at least one regular gate. Would your mobile JB's only be permitted one per a system? or would everyone get to deploy them everywhere and be free to have 20 in a single system so corps could massively project over entire lowsec regions? |

I cannot bring myself to support an idea that would make force projection easier and cheaper than it already is.
While you may want it for the smaller scale entity it would be a massive advantage to the larger SOV holding entities, especially as there would be no SOV costs or penalties involved. NBSI shall be the whole of the Law |

I like the idea, with a small tweak...
It would be called the civilian mobile jump bridge, and it would transport the pilot randomly someplace to low or nullsec. For each level trained, it would get the pilot closer to the general area of where he's trying to go, but never be perfect.

I would need more details on how it would work to evaluate the proposed item.
Consider two extremes.
1. Easy to kill bridge network -Mobile bridge required on both sides -Takes an hour or more to anchor/unanchor -3 bil isn't going to bankrupt a major coalition, but it is enough that they will care if they are dying all the time -Can't be on a POS, making it easy to camp, most Sov Jump Bridges are on well armed POSes, making it hard to camp directly on the bridge -Not being on a POS makes it easy to kill. -Lets say 500k ehp, no reinforce timer, so the risk of loss is high.
All in all, this version of the bridge would seem pretty balanced, it would allow you to do sneaky things, but at considerable cost/risk. If you want this to be ready when you need it, your gonna need to leave it up, and vulnerable to passing fleets, or moderately determined individuals.
2. Anchored Jump Portal Generator -Bridge to cynos -Anchors/onlines in 10 or less minutes -Can be instantly scooped once onlined, like a depot can -No reason to leave it in space when your done, very limited window where its at risk
This would be horribly unbalanced, Basically the most valuable past of a Titan, for 3b. In some ways riskier, in that it wont be in a POS, but also removes the logistics of needing permanent titan pilot, and the danger of moving a titan when there are tons of Titan hunters stalking you, waiting for you to slip up and give them a 100-120b killmail.
You could certainly refine this into a balanced proposal, but without the details, you could be proposing some very different things. |
