In the Hek region , where some of our Amarr foes have recently claimed a small victory, the tides were well and truely turned last night in favour of the free and strong Minmatar.
Again the Amarr somehow beleived they had the right to move a fleet into Minmatar space , by the end of the night I suspect they wished they hadn't as they made their way home in escape pods.
As this pilot must concede the early goings did not favour Oracle as Imperial Dreams entered Hek in Battleships with a squad of Frigates as support. They must have been rubbing their greedy slaver hands as they caught one of our Blackbird pilots by surprise and 2 Apocs downed him. Their smiles were swiftly wiped from their ageing faces though when a small Elite band of Oracle Fleet members decided enough was enough.
A full report will be forthcoming very shortly once we have finalised our post battle conference within Oracle ranks but for those of my minmatar brothers out there who cannot wait for the positive news .....let me tell you folks that these Amarr were chased from Minmatar space with their tails firmly between their legs.
Their Frigate pilots were totally outmatched by Oracle frigate pilots and retreated , only to call in reinforcements at the gate to Pator. This is where they met their demise as a fierce battle occurred and in the haze of combat I beleive 2 Battleships were destroyed and a third escaped with a flaming hull.
Even with Concord deciding to intervene and attack me , for which I was not happy, no more losses were suffered from Oracle and I managed to evade concord after watching my guns tear Palemoon to pieces.
I suspect these Slavers won't be bothering us for sometime.
Additional details to follow my brothers, I will attempt to keep you all updated as the Empires finest are crumbling and the Republic's might is ever more evident.
Estios of Oracle out ...for now So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

This is sad news if true...
I have not yet had a chance to talk to my Imperial Dream brothers to ascertain the facts behind this incident.
I am aware that a Minmatar Oracle Corp Blackbird succumbed to PIE Inc action last night. However there was certainly no coordinated operations planned (on the PIE side anyway).
Our loyal Amarrian pilots do occasionally take it upon themselves to put insurgent Minmatar's in their place when the opportunity arises and it may have been an ad hoc mission such as this that you interrupted.
IF this report is true it once again demonstrates that absolute willingness of Amarrian pilots to fight and die on behalf of the Empire!

Man, this just goes to show ya that the silver-tongued Amarri will try to spin everything to make it look like they won.

We all know who the 'Queen' of spin is - and it certainly isn't me.
I am still trying to ascertain the facts of the incident. As you know there are two sides to every story.
Estios has posted his 'initial' version... but there are unanswered questions in my mind - For example the Concord involvement that he mentioned!
The loss of two Amarr battleships (if true) comes as a surprise and shock to me as prior to bedding down for the night I had heard no such allegation...
I was aware from conversations in our communications channel of the successful destruction of the Oracle Blackbird by PIE Inc pilots...
I was also aware of a few brave PIE Inc. frigate pilots who were in Nakugard carrying out some covert ops unchallenged...
I was not aware of any planned fleet PIE Inc fleet actions and therefore surmise that any operation that did take place was ad hoc and occured while I slept.
IF the event truly played out as Estios described then my prayers are with those brave Imperial Dreams pilots who lost their ships for a noble cause.
Until I get more information from a source more reliable than a Minmatar (albeit one belonging to an honourable Corp) I shall say no more!

Just to clear the record, 2 BS's weren't lost. Not sure what Palemoon was piloting, his ship WAS destroyed. I know one of the ID BS got out with very little armor while my Tempest had 96% shields ;)
I know ID had two BS' there but they both warped out as far as I know, though with substantial damage. ------------------------------------------- If you kill them, they will die!

Sounds more realistic
In the heat of battle it can be very confusing identifying casualties....

Edited by: PaleMoon on 05/09/2003 15:28:30 The last battle in question involved Parallax Error in an Armageddon, SerpentBlade in an Omen, and myself in an Arbitrator (May the Emperor Bless it's hull in the Ship-Afterlife).
So in the battle at Pator Gate, it was 1 BS and 2 Cruisers vs 1 BS and 4 cruisers (or 3, I'm not sure) with the loss of one cruiser on our side.
The battle was quickly over and decisively won, but your posturing and smack-talking over the local frequency band was pathetic and more befitting of 12 year olds, souring the moment and stripping yourself of the honour you'd earned.
All in all, good show of strength, but we'll be back, and we'll be bringing extra shackles for you and your crews.

Minmatar loses - 1 Blackbird
Amarr loses - 1 Arbitrator
No spin required - Hardly a decisive night for either cause!

Edited by: Gaius Kador on 05/09/2003 17:19:40 Actually Hardin and Estios I've not yet filed my report
Some time after the Oracle Blackbird (you can bet on a Minmatar piloting another race's ship) was downed, the Ballistae Wing of PIE and Parallax Error of ID formed an ad-hoc raider crew to gain some valuable intelligencia, and to step on some Minmatar pride (apparently we did too). After easily fulfilling our mission objectives, one Ravenfire of Oracle decided to leave his rats' hole in Nakugard and challenge our domination of the system. Frigate to frigate he was taken apart by Parallax Error.
Oracle then gathered reinforcements, as they are very quick to respond to our increasing presence in Minmatar space. Another Ballistae PIE inc pilot, Decurion Agrus, joined us in a Crucifier. Facing off against each other were finally 3 Amarr frigates, versus 2 Oracle frigates and a Cruiser. The scale undoubtedly tilted Oracle's way pure power wise, but a testament to our successful tactics was given by an Oracle member mimicking our style. Anyone want to place a bet on wether he piloted a Minmatar ship or not?
An Omen cruiser piloted by Serpentblade of ID joined us shortly thereafter, and we broke the deadlock by warping to a gate held by Ulrich Einheriar, who jumped and hid. At this point we moved on to Yulai, as more Oracle members were logging on and we deemed it unneccesary to linger on within Minmatar space any longer. After all we had blown up an Oracle ship, gained the intelligence data we wanted, not to mention cowing the slave kin by our mere presence.
At this point I disengaged from the group and moved further into Amarr to process the intelligencia gathered.
So at the end of the day it turns out that Estios' feverish statement of total victory turns into bitter embarrasment as three frigates were allowed to roam free within Nakugard and the total amount of lost ships turns out to favor Amarr.
What say you, Oracle? ----------------------------------------------

I did say my findings were UNCONFIRMED but we certainly was VERY close to destroying Parallax's BS and quickly dealt with Palemoon.
I do apologise for unconfirmed posting of losses and will attempt to wait for confirmed figures in future (I think you will find another ID BS was lost last night too...making 1 down and 1 almost downed)
As for your comment about Parallax being a fearsome Frigate pilot and taking on Raven...ahahahahaha. 3 Frigates engaged Raven and then shortly after I took Parallax one on one and he had NOTHING , he fled blaming iminent back up with his armour scorched.
And to say we abused the local chat channel - that is RICH after Aralis stooped WAY below the belt So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

[ooc]This "posturing and smack-talking" was all in RP. If you're not sure what that is and what it entails, look it up, I will not give a lesson here.
And yes, Aralis did stoop below the belt with his accusations on LOCAL. ------------------------------------------- If you kill them, they will die!
