I personally have three accounts now and it makes the game much more dynamic. I have all three set up with different specializations and they all compliment each other. It helps you make more isk to finance your main character...

I had an old CEO who did that.
I have two accounts so the wife and I can play at the same time.
It works b/c we can plan group mining sessions without worrying about time zones etc.

i have 2 account a builder because his attributes are heavyly memory and intel making him learn production skills much faster so and another account whos a fighter/all rounder with more balanced attributes so every skill learns about the same speed :)

I simply don't like eve that much to where I would want to invest in another account to further build game depth.

2 accounts. My main, this one, has 2 extra character languishing for lack of time to train skills. The second was picked up when the box went to $19.95 so I could train up a hard core fighter. So far the 2nd account hasn't even left the hangar yet. Lots of studying to do.

Seriously... I have two acct's - running two comps using a Belkin brand switchbox (one monitor, kybd and trackball)
Why you might ask?
$25 for two accts and I'm set for entertainment for the month (sure beats a lame-ass rented movie)
I can have a miner and a hauler...
I can have 2 miners...
I can have 2 haulers...
I can have an ECCM ship and an "I dare you to tgt jam me" ship...
I can talk to my goddamn self!!! In my own personal gang chat!!!
I can leave one ****-poor and make the other one a rich-ass bizznatch!!!!

I have half an account, I can only play 12 hours a day. The other half an evil pirate takes over my account. It sucks but thats what you get for being poor

Contrary to "nono's" belief, the amount of accounts someone has doesn't effect the server population.
Just effects the subscription numbers.

people with more than 2 accounts can ya run them at the same time ? my bloody pc lags up like its playing cs and usally the newer client ctd every 1min or 2 ;0

It's very laggy when running two Eve's windowed at the same time but I might try to run my 2nd account with crappy reolutions to see if it helps.

What if they are logged in at the same time?
1 person with 2 accounts online at the same time has a server population of 2. (Same as 2 people with 1 each would)

Thats not true. If two separate accounts are loged in, that counts towards the server population.

I have 4 accounts (3 of which I own) I only really play 3 of them tho, I loaned a buddy of mine one of the other ones in exchange for him being my slave :P (And I'm buying another one or two right now)
I'm simply powerplaying. :)
Besides bored eve players sell their accounts really really cheap..
It's also simply fun being able to gang with yourself, I just wish my computer could handle more than 2 accounts being on at once
