Before patch. Ferox was the ugly bug that would be what a 'real' space combat ship would look like. Lots of plate and pointy things sticking out, no useless windows except for the tiny blue ones on the top.
After patch. A deck of white glowing windows a level below the 'conning tower' like structure. Ok fine they look 'good' but bah windows, on my ugly Ferox!
Now maybe I had a glitch in my graphics pre-patch and couldn't see them, but I miss my ugly windowless bug.
(and yes this is a pointless post)

I feel for your Ferox. Surely it would be vastly preferable if they had put Linux on it...
(Pointless post deserves a stupid joke!)

The windows were always there. And the ferox looks nothing like what a real space combat ship would look like.

While it does get points for having engines in locations that could provide reverse thrust, the asymmetry would make it incapable of flying in a straight line.

Wrong. There is no air in space, thus no need for aerodynamics. However, it needs ballanced thrust to fly straight. _____________________________________ Stressed out with empire politics?

I never said anything about aerodynamics.

Air doesn't have anything to do with it. If one side of the ship has more thrust than the other, it'll go forward faster and the ship will turn.
An asymmetric ship has to have different thruster strengths at different points to fly in a straight line. It's perfectly feasible that it does have that but the graphics don't reflect that.

I see what you're trying to do people, but don't try to fit logical physics in with EVE, it's like trying to attach your TV to an elephant...

Clearly we can continue the thread.
To pick up where we left off:
1) The Ferox has windows. 2) The elephant has televisions.
The floor is now open for comment.

Actually a real space warship looks a bit like a bad scafolding with solar panels and a 30mm cannon on it.
Back in, I forget when, the Soviets called a space war, and nobody came.

Telephant 4tw.
And yes, none of the ships in eve are plausable. They don't even have wings! How are they supposed to stay up there?

It's amazing that in this day and age that some people don't realise that you just don't make challenges like this on the internet. There will always be someone there who will take it on.

Jumpdrives, but I'm not sure about the ferox.

OMG
I really hope you were joking.
Anyway real life space battleships wont have any windows at all after all a window is a weak point in your armour and if a window was shattered by a stray shot you wopuld lose atmosphere. True that section could be sealed off but what if it was one of the bridges windows .
So to somerise .
no windows
symetrical engines.

Back on topic, Eve ships don't use Newtonian reaction-based drives. All those things pouring crap out of the back of your ship are exhaust vents, not propulsion nozzles.
