Many people are enjoying lag. However some people are enjoying lag-free play (a lot of people who are outside popular/core systems). Now, this lag developed steadily from the beggining of the patch, and they are "investigating" a memory leak.
So the idea is: if its a memory leak, its only gonna get worse. 
Anyone thinking along in the same lines?

As long as people flood Jita and other systems like that, it'll keep getting worse. People need to leave those areas, while at the same time staying out of ones I'm in. :)

if the memory leak is on the server, as long as the server is up, it will only get worse
jita isn't to blame for this one

No...you dont understand what I am saying.
If they got a memory leak, it will get worse no matter what. So sooner or later even lag-free areas will have UBER LAG. And then it will crash.

I didn't even know what Jita was until today...

CCP is really good about these things. Just set a long training skill any you'll be fine.

yeah memory leaks do suck for clien and server side it means lag in either case i do hope they get that fixed first and also jita is like a metropolitin aera traffic is awalys a problem in these aeras

Check Kieron's sticky. There's a server-side memory leak that will only get worse as more people go to certain nodes. But they're working very hard on it.

Actually, you're right.
As someone previously said, see this sticky for information and updates on the serer problems. The last post indicates that there is a server-side memory leak.
There are far too many threads on the server issues so I'm locking this one. Please be patient with the server, the problems will be sorted out eventually and updates on progress will be availible in kieron's sticky.
