Clearly there are a lot of problems with the latest patch. That's not so bad, if the bugs are Ioned out.
What I like to know is , if the problem I have is known by the staf, and in line to being fixed.
When I look at the know Isues section I see nothing there. This worries me. Because the way it is at the moment I can't log in unless I dissable my firewall (that gave no problem with an of the previous patches of eve).
And if things stay this way my only option is to quit EVE, as i'm not going to put my firewall down for more than a minute.

As far as I can tell, this thread is the sole source of the current state of affairs. It's probably not going to answer your questions, but it's at least straight from the mouths of the Devs.

Did you check to see if ports 26000 and 26001 to 87.237.38.200 are open? You may need to check your firewall settings and make sure that those ports are open for bidirectional traffic between you and the above ip address. Often that has been a cause for connection problems. Hope it helps you out some.

My firewall is very simple, Al ports are closed to any aplication unless I give it a permision to go out/in or both. In the past it always promted me if EVE was changed with a patch and asked me if it was still alowed. With the latest patch it doesn't seem to notice EVE any longer. So it doesn't request permission. I like my tiny personal firewall because it gives me exact control over what's going out and in, in a very sinmple way. I never have trojans, and even if I do they won't get out, same for spyware. On the net I'm invisible for anybody I don't want to notice me. It's great. And it is a free program that's very small and takes up almost no system recources.
EVE worked with it fine until the latest patch. I think it's just a little thing that has to be changed for EVE to work again with this firewal. So I don't want to go for other comercial firewals that I don't really trust.
