I think that CCP should make Eve a little more like Freelancer.. its really boring to just "point & click", doesnt really make it exciting when all u have todo to win a battle is to just "lock" him and press the fire button! Then the person with best skills and equipment would win as default... It would be more fun to have to take actions in a war not just click and wait... The game needs also differents ways to get rich, its only "Mining" and "Trading" u really can make money of... What is the point of research a bluepring anyway? it just makes it cheaper to build, maybe change so it would give a little benefit to research.... -------------------------- The Norwegian Boy!

I think the best way to handle the blueprint is to allow players to gain the opportunity to modify or proto-type weapons and ships. Nothing radical but I think that would really make the point of it hit home much more.
As for the mining/trading. Couldn't agree with you more.

The existing combat is very strategic. If you're finding point and clicking boring, find some more challenging targets where the decision on guns over shield booster/armour repairer is the matter of life and death. | Join eve-webring.com to promote your site. |

The skills you need to be good in combat is just knowing what works better with different items and enemies.
It really doesn't matter that much on the player for the offensive.

its true the point and click can be a little tedios but remember this is an mmo RPG it aint a flight sim and to make it thus would require too much modification of the games essentials it would in effect have to be completely re programmed besides in a game of this type such action is often not needed or even wanted by most players who prefer to let "whos the strongest character" win rather than "who knows all the cheapest tackticks" which trust me mate is what it would be
