CCP you REALLY have to do something, this is not good just see the facts, in 4,5 month the player base have dropped radically, 2,5 months ago was the "peak" with around 6300 online, now its a autumn friday night, and how many are online... 4100... thats a drop of 2200 players. This time of the year there should be more players now. Soon it wont matter what you do, more and more will leave and play something else. Wich would be very, very sad!

I frequently see the server population at around 6000.
Oh...and you really expect people to be in front of their computer, playing EVE on a _Friday_ night?

Ummm, looking at eve-i usage over 3 months I definitely do not see a drop.
In fact, I'd go so far as to say there's been a slight rise in usage.

Edited by: Veruna Caseti on 05/09/2003 23:32:21 Seriously. It's Friday evening and school just started recently.
People are out enjoying their weekends!
Well, except me, I'm sitting here posting messages on this forum and waiting for my skill to finish training!

6300 on a sunday, yes. But this is a friday. Last sunday's peak was 5600 I think, and the day after the peak was 5700 (that was strange).
Anyway that's a drop of only 600 players, 10%. Quite good I think.
Btw now it's kinda late (this nights peak was a couple of hours ago), earlier this night there was 4755 players. Also there's 4200 players online right now :P
Don't fool yourself.
4.5 month? The game has been live for only 4 months (today 6/9).

It was a holiday on Monday for those in the US. That explains the increased number of players for that day.

To me it actually doesn't look like it's dying. Certainly not more people joining but it's not dying.

The rose coloured glasses are still affecting your vision Josh. I posted before and others have to you just can't see it. Learn to read a graph even if it's not the best quality.
But thanks for buying that second account. You as well as I are at least helping to bring up the numbers as are about 2000 others.
On a positive note today was a bit more spread out across the day. It usually looks like a sky jump. A climb to a high for an hour so then a steady decline until the traders alarm clocks go off and start a climb just before shutdown.
Obviously the game appeals to a certain time zone and the rest havn't caught on. That or they have caught on, if you get my meaning.
